  1. "There's decades of data and evidence corroborating a warming climate in New England that impacts our winters vs. no there isn't".
  2. I'd guess 10 inches. Hard to tell with all the drifting going on. Spots on my driveway were bare and other spots were 24+.
  3. 3 inches here in the CT river valley, really unimpressive snow growth to this point.
  4. I'm hoping we can whittle this down to 6 inches in north central CT.
  5. I love this place during rat winters.
  6. You mean Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg?
  7. We're not reading all that. We're happy for you, though, or sorry that happened.
  8. Happy first official day of "sun angle" season, everyone!
  9. Not to speak for all the warministas, but I genuinely enjoy winter torches. I'm down for a good snowstorm here and there, but winter as a whole is a tough slog.
  10. Wasn't someone claiming we only had six weeks of winter left as of January 1?
  11. 10 snowflakes falling gently into a puddle.
  12. It's pretty fun, too. I'm looking forward to tickling 45 degrees here in the CT river valley on Monday morning.
  13. The phrase "sun angle" warms my heart. If only I could wish it into effect.
  14. My local school district put out a memo stating that they were operating on an "hour to hour basis" based on COVID-related staffing issues. I would guess they're quite relieved to have a Friday snow day.
  15. https://news.gallup.com/poll/355907/remote-work-persisting-trending-permanent.aspx I spend the majority of my time WFH, but on the staggered days I need to be in the office, we require an order from the governor to stay home for weather.
  16. Source? I've seen 45% in recent months, which means a significant number of people are still being impacted by a storm like this.
