  1. Not for me, lol. Keep winter cold, snowy and cold, but it not both, at least one.
  2. This pattern is so boring. The only positive is it hasn't been warm.
  3. Isn't this Nina weakening though, kind of throwing the typical Nina set up out the window a bit?
  4. Really all we need are lake snows and clippers, those get the job done nicely.
  5. Looking at the long range models, looks bleak. Not all that warm, but just no precip.
  6. People in the Central forum are talking about a storm around the 13th. Doesn't look terrible, maybe a few inches.
  7. This is just a weird pattern. There's no variety. The temperatures are nearly the same everyday (and not extreme in anyway), and cloudy with almost no precip. Just seems weird to be so extended like this in the winter. Getting bored, need some snow soon.
  8. Hopefully. Looked at the models long range today, and they didn't look great, of course they are long range and they showed storm opportunities, so there could be chances. Plus, those far more knowledgeable seem confident there will be a flip in a week or so. Fingers crossed.
  9. Hopefully good enough to get above average snow and below average temperatures, and extend through February.
  10. Terribly ugly day today. 30s and rain is the worst weather there is, no contest.
  11. When do we think fortunes may turn back to snow? I saw a mention of around the 10th.
  12. Well, yes, I understand that, but it's just funny that it took them a while to put warnings for a 10" snow storm, but a bit of rain that will freeze for a few hours then rapidly melt, gets more than a day's notice. Just interesting.
  13. It’s funny, they seem to issue a WWA very quickly for a tiny bit of ice that will melt pretty fast, but wait forever to issue one for snow.
  14. With the little snow we received this morning, this is now the 7th snowiest month ever.
  15. NWS says this is the 2nd snowiest December ever, 8th snowiest month ever, and 4th snowiest start to a season ever.
  16. 1. We've already beaten that, so yay! 2. They are either very wrong, or... 3. We are super screwed.
  17. I know people were saying after Christmas there would be better blocking and I heard a pattern resembling early February 2010.
  18. Is GFS decent at picking out a pattern earlier and doing the worst after that, or am I imagining that?
  19. GFS, threw out a total similar to that for this storm, maybe it comes to a more realistic number like we just had.
  20. I consider it an overachiever only because 7" was on the higher end of the model runs. Most were between 3" and 6", and the WWA was for 3-5". That's my only reason. I just can't get over this season so far, has been great, and here's to the new year.
  21. Christmas day picked up 5.1", smashing the old record. This one should stand for a long while. The last one stood since 1890, and was tied in 1935! That means the Eve and DY total was 6.6". We also saw 0.4" after midnight this morning, for a storm total of 7". Three storms over 6" in December. And the NWS says we are at our second snowiest December. Another overachiever. This has to be our year. Hopefully, the pattern stays primed. Stays cold or gets colder and has opportunity.
  22. Oh my God. Thank goodness you are okay. Yes the City workers were no where to be found today. Still snowing, one of those days where lake effect and ULL worked nicely together, for a record breaking Christmas.
