Looks like Wednesday we need to rely on a heavy thump early, then it mostly dries out, but warms up. Could help retain some pack if there isn't too much rain.

Got some overnight. Maybe an inch on the car this morning. I'll take it. I guess the positive in this is the NWS was wrong, by a good margin for totals. Maybe they'll be too conservative for Wed.-Thurs. as well?

That’s not the point. I am desperate for any snow. 2” makes a world of difference when there’s nothing on the ground. And mostly, this being the worst r/s line for me is because it was literally a few miles away from 2” to absolutely nothing, almost no precip action at all here. Barely any rain even. Just truly a terrible storm on my end.

This is officially the worst r/s line screwing I’ve ever experienced. I had maybe a 10 minute flurry then drizzle, and then nothing.

Well in this horrible year, having accumulating snow so close by while I'm blanked is heartbreaking.

Lucky. Too warm here. Amazing the actual rain snow line was in Allegheny Co. This one is truly heartbreaking.

There a few flakes falling outside my window. I assume there's rain mixed in as well, in the city.

We are literally riding a razor's edge for this one. Some snow returns on radar in Allegheny Co., but mostly dry slotted right now. Maybe there's a small chance.

SREF Plumes have this "event" at 1". Starts jumping the next one up to 2" early in the period.

Had a nice Fall this year. Honestly, our luck we won’t even have a summer probably, after having no winter. Watch it be 70 and rain everyday.

Ready for summer and constant disappointment of falling just short of 90 degrees 15 times in the season, lol.

I guess we'll see. Seems other places I've seen this cool period lasts until around 2/5, but I've literally seen everything. Seems nobody knows. GFS has been terrible, so I think we can safely assume 3 feet isn't happening through the 6th. Nice to look at though.

NAM and NAM 3k not looking too bad. Starting about 48 hours and stays all snow. 1"-3" overall. GFS also pretty good, though that means very little this season.

What time frame is the Sunday system supposed to come through?

GFS looks about as good as we can hope for. Just can't move much.

NWS always seems to be the slowest to update. They don't really react to every model run. Seems they tweak by day instead. Maybe we wait to see from them.

Looks like Wednesday trended back a little colder. The news this morning reintroduced snow, instead of yesterday's plain rain.

I thought when one storm comes through it sets the baroclinic zone for the next one, which essentially sets the next one up on the same track or farther east. Seems it never actually works that way at all, though.

Yeah, 6"-10" who's going to complain, even if it were a good year we shouldn't.
