    I believe parts of North AL got a couple inches of snow in December. Or is AL not a part of the SE forum ?

    Central and South GA are definitely much warmer than most of NC, but theres not a big difference in temps between North GA and NC outside of the mountains.

    I am beginning to wonder if we see the sun again this month. I dont understand why even the dry days have to be cloudy. Is it really that difficult to get one sunny day a week ?

    So any precip that may fall on the coast would be snow ? Or is it possible that it would be rain ?

    Im surprised Feb is such a good climo month for snow. Avg temps increase a good bit from early to late Feb. Also, theres 2-3 less days in Feb than Jan, so that would also seem to give Jan an advantage. The sun angle increases pretty dramtatically in Feb also. I would much rather get a snowfall in Dec and Jan when the lower sun angle has a better chance of not melting the snow. So yes, it can snow in Feb. But it just doesnt excite me like Dec and Jan snow does.
