  1. Yep. And arent we like a week or two vehund Italy ? If so the worst should be over for us soon.
  2. Well at least we are close to the peak. Looks like things will get much better very soon, maybe even by late April.
  3. At some point youve just gotta roll the dice and hope and pray it doesn't get worse. Gotta open the economy back fairly soon. Hopefully that doesn't cause many more deaths.
  4. It would be a lot easier to stay inside if it was winter, but with the weather getting warmer I am getting out as much as possible. I might go to the mountains in TN to see my friend this weekend.
  5. With everyone on lockdown, where are these new cases coming from ? Maybe from people who were infected weeks ago before measures were put in place ?
  6. Way too premature IMO. With things constantly evolving theres no way to predict what things will look like even a month from now. I say take it month by month. It's almost a guarantee that things will be much better by summer.
  7. That makes absolutely no sense to me. Its 3 months away for goodness sake.
  8. Stay at home order for IN but you can still go to grocery store, work, etc. How is that different than whats been in place the last 2 weeks ?
  9. I just don't see this being as bad as the 2009 pandemic. Over 12,000 Americans died in that one.
  10. How is 80% going to get it if everyone is stuck at home with nowhere to go ?
  11. Seems kind of odd that there only 9,000 cases in a country of 330 million especially considering all of the high profile people who have tested positive.
  12. I heard it could be more than $1,000.
  13. Is it really a good idea to allow grocery stores to be packed with people ? I thought they said to avoid large crowds.
  14. Was there this kind of panic in 2009 with the swine flu ? Over 12,000 in the U.S. died in that outbreak. Although I realize the numbers are going up, 70 have died so far with this outbreak.
  15. How much snow do you still have on the ground ?
  16. Raleigh NWS says due to a fresh snowcover they have cut back temps for tonight several degrees. But with a strong late Feb sun will there even be any snow left by the end of today? Ive noticed in the past that a late winter sun can do a lot of melting even with cold temps.
  17. I cant believe there are actually some school closings in SC. I wasnt aware that any part of SC got that much snow.
  18. I have a hard time believing a city at the same latitude as southern Canada hasn't seen a flurry all winter.
  19. I honestly think its kind of silly to rush to the grocery store for milk and bread. Worst case scenario youre stuck at home until noon on Friday. With a strong late Feb sun I imagine there will be a lot of melting on Fri.
  20. Plus theres nothing prettier than seeing snow in the mountains.
  21. 800 miles would be from Raleigh to Chicago. I can't see anyone in Raleigh driving all the way to Chicago for a few inches of snow.
  22. It just seems like theres too much uncertainty with this system to waste time and money driving 1,600 miles round trip plus hotel room. I mean maybe Elizabeth City NC gets hit hard but then again they may only see a few inches.
  23. There is a dude on another forum who is driving 800 miles from Tuscaloosa, AL to Elizabeth City, NC. Have people lost their minds ? Is a little snow worth driving 800 miles for ?
  24. When people say we get our best snows in March i think they are full of BS. Whens the last time there was a widespread March snow from Birmingham to Raleigh ?
