12Z GFS trying for the Blizz of '78 TRACK on Feb 4th, backs the low right over Long Island. Obviously will change a thousand times between now and then
I'm not greedy like some here, I'll take anything that gets the ground white. As of this morning we're down to about 40 percent coverage in the yard at home. Surprised there's anything left with the heavy rain overnight. 36 degrees
Curls back up under SNE instead of out to sea to the southeast. Way too early to know if it's really any good yet though... and the long range GFS solutions just look strange lately, not sure what to make of it
Worked out pretty well for me so far, but I still wish I could move up to the Berks. As far as this system, we all should know this isn't done trending one way or the other
The key if you can is staying off the limited access highways and trying to take back roads if you're able to. Way too many people get sucked into taking the highway and it is the absolute worst place to be during any sort of snow event
That would be fun, but good luck with that. We got really really spoiled in this area for many years, the '80s have to come back through the door at some point
