  1. Atmospheric seeding... IF you believe some of what's being proposed lately
  2. They're super efficient now as well. We have a 15,500 BTU 120 volt window unit (yes, 15,500) that does our first floor and have to run it all day because we have Chinchillas and they can't live over 70-75 degrees. Never had a bill over $250 in the summer and that includes a/c upstairs at night
  3. Japanese toilet FTW... or the good 'Ol Bum Gun like in Thailand. MUCH more efficient than a roll of TP!
  4. Agreed! It's been my all time wish if I had a time machine storm
  5. Suboxone is more to keep you alive, and limit the effects of said bad shit when you slip up. It is a similar chemical and takes dedication to wean off of over a great deal of time. It took my husband six years of slowly tapering to be comfortable with himself and how he feels. It's an understatement to say I'm SO proud of him for what he's done. Sub isn't a cure, but a starting point. As he said it only really started to help when you take a leap of faith to leave your old life and "friends" behind and search for the light at the end of the tunnel... way too simplified but that's our experience
  6. I think it sounds fantastic! I HATE the sun beating directly on me. There's a couple days in the spring like John mentioned 65/30 when I can tolerate it a bit, but that's about it
  7. Thanks for that Ray, and well done. It isn't easy at all to talk about in mixed company. My husband is clean 10 years from a truly evil substance that has plagued this country with some help from big pharma. I even struggled some with it myself after rotator cuff surgery about 14 years ago. For both of us it was brutal honesty, and love that has helped us through our journey.
  8. Pretty simple concept that works really well... but so many guys my age (53) just don't get it
  9. It probably comes from all the bad 80s winters that featured El Ninos of some sort... at least that's what we were told at the time. I wasn't with it enough to, and/or have access to information at that time to really pay attention.
  10. Start greening up the lawn before the near inevitable April blocking? Although if memory serves, last April was one of the nicest in a long time
  11. Hate to admit it, but I'm ready to stick a fork in it. Certainly wouldn't mind a big one the beginning of March, but I don't expect anything at the moment. I haven't suffered with a lack of snow compared to some, but the stop start nature of these winters is what starts to annoy me. The old car community is stirring as well, like they feel winter is just about done.
  12. Yup, pretty much nothing left in the yard here
  13. Yeah looking at that map again it seems a little low for my areas
  14. Half an inch this A.M. and .25 yesterday brings me to 29.25 inches on the season in Westfield
  15. If we get 4 more inches, that little tip in the southern berks will need to extend it's appendage into my area... just the tip
  16. Woke up to a half inch in Westfield. Didn't expect anything really. More than we had yesterday. Light snow and 25 degrees. SUPER fine flakes, almost looks like fog looking in the distance
  17. Unfortunately in my experience 9 times out of 10 it happened the other way... traumatic 80s winter memories lol. Dusting here last evening, and pretty strong gusts this AM
  18. Same with those that salivate over "epic blocking" More times than I can remember all that means is congrats Mid Atlantic
  19. Well sure. Mid level running north of us, surface too for that matter is a red flag for much here. I haven't seen any guidance taking this south. We'll probably get just enough to eff up the roads
