  1. Sure, but "normal... WTF ever that is, can be boring
  2. I've been told, but never tried it myself that you should put down crab grass control in the fall to the moss areas. Like I said, never tried it because i like the moss, but I know a couple people that swear by it, along with the obvious lime (pelletized lime FTW) etc.
  3. P. Allen... Swish? Well, I noticed yesterday that the lawn is starting to grow in certain areas already. New green shoots sprouting all over areas of the back yard. Also tons of chives already, some are already 5 inches or so tall
  4. Looks like you'll have to settle for GFS... or CMC
  5. 41 and lots of bird song this A.M. Also realized the grass in our back yard is starting to grow in certain areas... as well as chives that are 5 inches tall. SO many chives in the lawn for some reason haha
  6. I've actually known both of those poor men. I mean, Richard Head meant the same thing 70 years ago... WTF were their parents thinking
  7. Oh come on... you get used to it after a while
  8. March 10th SNE snowstorm... I'll believe it when I'm cursing the fact that I packed away the snowblower
  9. There's some beautiful houses in Soda Springs and the surrounding areas... I drool over them on Zillow. Husband would kill me if we moved somewhere that got that much snow
  10. Atmospheric seeding... IF you believe some of what's being proposed lately
  11. They're super efficient now as well. We have a 15,500 BTU 120 volt window unit (yes, 15,500) that does our first floor and have to run it all day because we have Chinchillas and they can't live over 70-75 degrees. Never had a bill over $250 in the summer and that includes a/c upstairs at night
  12. Japanese toilet FTW... or the good 'Ol Bum Gun like in Thailand. MUCH more efficient than a roll of TP!
  13. Agreed! It's been my all time wish if I had a time machine storm
  14. Suboxone is more to keep you alive, and limit the effects of said bad shit when you slip up. It is a similar chemical and takes dedication to wean off of over a great deal of time. It took my husband six years of slowly tapering to be comfortable with himself and how he feels. It's an understatement to say I'm SO proud of him for what he's done. Sub isn't a cure, but a starting point. As he said it only really started to help when you take a leap of faith to leave your old life and "friends" behind and search for the light at the end of the tunnel... way too simplified but that's our experience
  15. I think it sounds fantastic! I HATE the sun beating directly on me. There's a couple days in the spring like John mentioned 65/30 when I can tolerate it a bit, but that's about it
  16. Thanks for that Ray, and well done. It isn't easy at all to talk about in mixed company. My husband is clean 10 years from a truly evil substance that has plagued this country with some help from big pharma. I even struggled some with it myself after rotator cuff surgery about 14 years ago. For both of us it was brutal honesty, and love that has helped us through our journey.
  17. Pretty simple concept that works really well... but so many guys my age (53) just don't get it
  18. It probably comes from all the bad 80s winters that featured El Ninos of some sort... at least that's what we were told at the time. I wasn't with it enough to, and/or have access to information at that time to really pay attention.
