  1. Stone cold sober actually... unless caffeine counts
  2. Until the Euro has been unburdened by what has been (upgrades) I'll believe it when I see it EDIT: wait, where are you seeing snow on the Euro for this general area? I don't see anything... unless mine is stuck on last run??
  3. I'll eat my ass if Torrington gets near half a foot from this current setup Sell, Sell, Sell
  4. I just had to shake my head a page or so back with some discussing a future pattern like it's mid January next week... OMFG please don't let them start that crap yet! I look out two weeks at the most. The solutions beyond that (or less) have been flip flopping all over the place on the GFS forever
  5. Currently 78 in Simsbury. Thanks to some clouds it doesn't feel totally awful
  6. Well then, we'll see. Most of my really decent years in north central CT didn't have any appreciable snow until around Christmas / New Years. 1992 is a memorable exception and I'm not Will, CRS is a serious problem...
  7. Low of 26 in Westfield this A.M. Lowest so far for us. I have to agree with WinterWolf... this fall has been amazing and it shouldn't be "wintery" yet. We know (in general) what happens when we have early winter weather. Keep the snow for December and beyond in SNE
  8. Dude, I haven't laughed so hard at this time of morning in a long time
  9. Funny, I always remember September as going back to school dying of heat... Always been a summer month in SNE, and cooler this year than some
  10. Up this way it's looking like the lawn will have to wait at least another day... lots of clouds with occasional light mist. Great for working outdoors, but not for mowing!
  11. I remember that. I was home recovering from rotator cuff surgery. I was super happy to be missing work, recovering in the A/C for a bit
  12. In the mornings also. We get up around 5 a.m. and the last week we've noticed the change.
  13. 81 and NICE in Simsbury today. Summers day of yore?
  14. It was great when I got to my shop in Simsbury. It was 58 degrees
  15. Westfield gas and electric isn't terrible either... but not the super bargain they were a couple years ago! (then again, what is!)
  16. I'll be there next August! Can't wait!! Currently 82 with rain and a feel of 89... at 1:50 A.M. !
  17. LOVE it! I had some scattered showers driving through Suffield this A.M.
  18. I wear gloves (thin ones) in the summer too. This biggest issue is dealing with trenches and PVC pipe and wire and flex conduit. It all sucks to work with in the cold. True... electrician here as well, although I can never quite get used to the dews at work. Give me 30 to 60 degrees any day and I'll be far more productive 84 in Simsbury, so far dews lower than yesterday by quite a bit
  19. We usually bleach the ceiling once or twice a summer more as a precaution when it gets "that look" like something is about to grow. Also make sure whoever installs the new bath fan actually calculates the proper CFM. Most are very undersized for the bath Sq.Ft. And it's good you know about the makeup air needs... the biggest fart sucker/moisture evacuator won't do shit without it It's a nice 61 degrees in Simsbury this morning
  20. Black mold is a super nasty substance that isn't treated as seriously as it should be. We've also been seeing a certain type of fungus on certain plants, trees etc. We saw this last summer on the Japanese maples and Mimosa trees.
  21. This weather is fantastic! NOT looking forward to the return of dews Thursday... however a holiday margarita or several may soften the blow
  22. Absolutely fantastic Friday morning! It was 50 when I left the house at 5, and 65 now.
  23. Apparently hoarding isn't just for cats anymore...
