  1. I'm at 8". You're off to a great start for where you are. This one is special
  2. Happy to have one finally work out. Just measured 8" in Columbus. I've been parked under the heaviest bands since 3am
  3. Thinking some pretty long standing streaks for Columbus might fall this weekend. From Wilmington's Significant Event Archive, the last 6" snow was 2/21/15, last 8" snow was 2/5/14, and last 10"+ was 2/5/10. Crazy that even Gulf states have had a more recent major snowfall than Columbus.
  4. Seems like this could turn into a classic sleet slop fest for I-70. Seen it too many times
  5. Took until almost 6pm but starting to come down good in Columbus
  6. Looking like a broad 1-3 to refresh the snowpack on Friday evening. I wonder if things could uptrend closer the the event.
  7. Such a sharp cutoff. I'm around 5.5" near campus
  8. Definitely seems to be the case. Hoping to be pleasantly surprised
  9. Everything other than gfs and nam is a complete wiff for CMH now
  10. Really not sure I buy that. Feels like it’s on its own but hoping for the best
  11. Looks like the 3,600+ day streak of no single storm snows over 6” in Columbus will hold again.
  12. Messy convection in IL and moisture staying south. I think the main threat will line up more into Kentucky.
  13. Clouds look to be closing off the clearing rather quickly from the rain in KY/TN. Question will be whether that serves to hold off premature convection or shunts everything altogether.
  14. Somewhat of a surprise 2” system this morning. Thought we were done lol
  15. KCMH reported 4.4” soo the streak goes on, but what a storm. I got around 5.5” near OSU campus, but a lot of my friends just 15-20 miles north got 6”-8”. Crazy that just 24 hours before the snow fell ILN has us at less than an inch.
  16. Columbus could break its 9 year no snow over 6” streak!
  17. The radar looks pretty beefy out west and a bit more north than the HRRR and NAM. Our high temp will be important in deciding accumulation efficiency today.
  18. Looks like a pretty broad 1-2 event tomorrow. Might be limited by warm surface
