    As someone who’s learning, Are there any problems with what the 0z HRRR is showing? It seems to have slightly increased for Richmond over the last 2/3 runs.

    It is awkward here weather-wise in winter at least, not quite Northern VA, but not quite far south VA... Also: 0z 48hr HRRR was interesting. Forgot that was a thing.

    I want to change it to lower, but I don’t trust it after what happened in December 2018... it could be a crapshoot again...

    Lucky, they have a winter storm warning there. They need it if they want to open the slopes on December 4th! (I think they’ll barely get it, unless they need a bit more to groom.)

    For entertainment this winter, we can take a single 840 hour run of the GEFS, study it frame by frame, correct it’s biases, and get it as close as possible to what we think will happen... Maybe not the 840 because it smooths out so much...

    It’s crazy to think that today last year was one of the two times it snowed for the whole year.

    We all know they usually go negative in the last week of November / First week or two in December, then go positive again until March or April. Watch it happen again... hopefully not.

    Snowshoe had some decent snow today, nothing huge, but it’s on the ground up there at least.
