i dont trust the kooch and probably at least an inch or so of virga. 3-6" would be a good call for i-66 through DC. 2-4" up by Baltimore. Short pump probably hits double digits, UGH.
The camera is in night mode so it might be a bit more, railing looks like an inch or so. You also live up in the Northern snowtown area of the county. Us southy lowland lake-foke dont get as much as you
This is why its dumb to call a snow day when its "too cold" or theres a bit of ice somewhere on some sidewalk in the shade. We've had 2-3 "soft" snow days this year which could be used for days like tomorrow. Oh well same here if they start using spring break days... I've already booked London so my kids will just have to get their education overseas that day.
Do people in Virginia know how to drive? This storm wasn't some sort of surprise. NBC4 is showing video of the mixing bowl and 95 south where it is all shut down. People stuck on ramps and no way for plows or tow trucks to get them un-stuck.
Maryland drivers are bad but we never seem to have mass chaos complete gridlock of our transportation.
For some reason we dont have enough laptops to give out to every kid. Elementary school kids dont have a 1:1 ratio. Also they said some kids dont have internet access.
For being one of the richest counties in the country we surprisingly can afford little. I am a hcpss supporter but will call them out on foolishness.
I also agree that busses will be back in the yard before any meaningful accumulation. 3 hours is a joke. I am sure we are closed tomorrow. Sorry to derail the obs thread.
