  1. Yep, this pattern is completely out of control and messed up. Even 2013-2015 wasn't this bad.
  2. Nah, it's because there's something wrong with the ASOS at ORD, or PWK, or both. PWK is north of ORD, there's no reason it should have been three degrees warmer there. Someone really needs to look into this issue. It was never like this in the past.
  3. I swear, lake breezes/pneumonia fronts are stronger now than they were years back. Temps dropping into the 50s in June because of a silly lake breeze front? What's next, lake-effect snow in July? smh.
  4. MDW and PWK both hit 86 today, while ORD only hit 83...? What the F?????? I know on warm days ORD can sometimes run a degree cooler for some reason. But this is getting out of hand.
  5. I'm thinking the opposite, for the Great Lakes region at least. Thinking it might rival 1992 for cold and be remembered as a true "year without a summer". I hope I'm completely wrong though.
  6. Wisconsin’s weather is just horrible. Even worse if you live next to Lake Michigan. I guess some people like miserable weather though.
  7. Yep, it’s raining again. **** this useless trash pattern, can’t even buy one dry day.
  8. This is by far the worst Spring I’ve ever lived through in my life. Just ****ing awful.
  9. I don't know. DPA hit 78 as well. I think there's something extremely wrong with the sensor at ORD. It was colder than literally every major reporting site in the area by a few degrees. Even UGN hit 76. What could be causing this severe cold bias? I noticed it during the late January cold blast too.
  10. 74 at ORD today, 78 at PWK sure, whatever.
  11. Can't wait for more cold, miserable springs around the Great Lakes region!!!
  12. Serious question: why are the models still so unreliable and so laughably inaccurate in 2019? It's to the point where I can't trust anything more than 24 hours out. Even the ECMWF's performance has been total garbage as of late.
  13. Honestly, I would take last spring over this spring. Sure, last April was awful, but at least the cold was pretty much done by April 20. Also had a very nice May last year too. This year, it's been non-stop cold, dreary weather. And it looks to continue that way for the foreseeable future.
  14. Like literally EVERY advertised medium/long range warm-up this Spring, it will become muted significantly. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see a warm-up at all.
  15. Has nothing to do with the lake.
  16. Last year we had a top 5 warmest May. This year, it’s looking like a top 5 coldest, and potentially the coldest of all time. Do we even hit 80 this month?
  17. Looks to be a miserable one this year.
  18. Nothing impressive or historic about this one at all. Pretty lame storm overall. Kind of thankful, but also a bit disappointed at the same time.
  19. All it takes is a -NAO to get an absurd, almost unprecedented snowstorm in late April? That’s kinda ****ed up in all honesty.
  20. It's not global warming though (at least not entirely), I'm starting to think it might be something else.
  21. Our last decent Spring/Summer was all the way back in 2012. Pretty sad if you think about it.
  22. Having a snowstorm in late April at this latitude isn't normal, whether you like snow or not. Having a strong, bowling ball system traversing the mid latitudes this time of the year is NOT normal. I'm just very concerned about the future of our climate, that's all. Something is messing up the weather patterns across the globe, and I have an idea on what it might be. I believe it to be man-made, however, which is very disconcerting.
  23. Serious question: why have we been stuck in this garbage pattern since late January? This is NOT normal at all. It almost seems unnatural. As if there's something more sinister going on...
