  1. even if it's a miss it can't escape 100%. jmo Just saying what the Euro is showing, not that it'll play out like that obv :p
  2. Euro looks quite a bit better by 240. At least the UL pattern. L/W trough over Hudson Bay right where you want it, strong high pressures over the N ATL. S/W over SE Canada splits and zips NE.
  3. May be more difficult or rare, but both Carol and Edna occurred in this type of regime.
  4. Yeah that's how we do it. Forget about a negative tilt OV/TN valley trough absorbing/capturing it, that's a pipe dream. I'd rather a big blocking high to the northeast run a squeeze play situation. As we mentioned Sunday
  5. recent history says it has potential. lol https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Fiona
  6. it's about time Southeast Canada got crushed by a hurricane
  7. Too bad the UL pattern is absolute azz on the Euro
  8. 6z shows how it would need to be done, if it's to approach up here. 250mb jet placement and shape is really good, too bad it's so far out
  9. that's still a decent hit for eastern areas/Cape
  10. that really doesn't show anything.
  11. perfect really. Just don't want to see a broad trough/westerlies way south into the GL/NE beyond D9-10, much rather take chances with high heights and a squeeze play between highs, ala 54 Carol.
  12. track was 1821/1944ish. that'd be fun
  13. US east coast wide open on that gfs run. wow
  14. It's generally been considered a 3 LF in New England but yeah, technically may not be. BID gusted to 130, and who knows what the peak winds actually were, so there's that.
  15. Carol was a 3 at landfall on E LI, then a 2 at second landfall in CT.
  16. Yes of course it's low odds, but you said there have been no major hurricane strikes since 1938 which is false.
  17. better chance of a cold, snowy winter than that hurricane hitting us. IOW ain't happening
