it's much worse now. oak trees are 3/4 brown. From what I read, the worst was N Falmouth Sandwich but it's spread way east to Yarmouth, Brewster etc.

I waswn't talking about leaf-edge browning, I was talking about trees being half-dead and half green. May still be cicadas, I guess. Could just be dead stuff from last year. I'll take pictures tomorrow when I'm in SRI, they probably have same issue. It's only those short bushy oaks you see near the coast, I don't see it around here or anywhere inland with the larger ones.

Was on Cape Cod today. All oaks and leaves are half green, half brown/dead. It's brutal. Steincoc showing itself

Also; the main tropical thread was cleaned up some, much more readable now.

For here? pretty much never, so we are (well, I'm) not discussing that. For the overall tropical Atlantic? Things will heat up a bit. Though I'm skeptical outside of GOM at this point, until there is a legitimate contender.
