  1. yeah it's wild, nothing worthwhile to track for months now
  2. we'll see what happens. I'd not be very excited for awhile...let's just hope it's stormy by January/February and not January is typical a month
  3. i would. your area is different, being wedged until July
  4. who is "we"? Like your immediate area? The NNE mountains can do okay even in a stinky pattern, even CNE I suppose. otherwise agree.
  5. Yeah wow. hopefully it comes west a bit so it's not another far SE event
  6. hopefully the next rainer/winder misses? it's all we got, so hopefully it winds up deep and cuts way west
  7. better than a wind-driven -5. Let's take 40's-50's into Tanuary plus preserve the very green, lush lawns
  8. The past month or so of sensible wx seems to have reconnected where last winter left us.. the overall vibe is just normal cold, at worst, many relatively "mild" days and nights, too. canada is furnaced for weeks. All hope will ride with hoping for a sloppy few inches, but even NNE (without el) will probably have issues in some systems.
  9. Yeah, that's probably correct. NA as a whole is blowtorched on most guidance through week two.
  10. 0z GEFS...look how far north the 540 isopleth is
  11. Oh definitely, and of course no one said "slam dunk" anything. tbh, your posts HERE (can't speak for other subforums) are generally LR stuff and pimping ensemble products. That's really all I can speak of and address.
  12. Winter *SHOULD* perk up near/after X-mas, who wouldn't forecast that happening? Besides an extremely hostile pattern, mediocre patterns can produce decent even excellent storms.
