  1. Flew too close to the sun on that prediction. Felt so right mid january.lol
  2. Toss the GFS. Enjoy the freezer till about the 20th with occasional fluff events missing McHenrySnow south. The winter window opened will it be ready to close? ORD looks to achieve seasonal snow averages much to my disbelief.
  3. Oh so briefly. Edit: Stopped snowing. 1" down
  4. Heavier band seems to have set up between Elgin and Aurora
  5. Will go 1" here. Lightly snowing
  6. Haven't looked but would assume the further north in LOT the more it trends to 1". Or maybe not
  7. Feeling strangely optimistic.Never hurts to see mounds of snow either. At this point playing with house money
  8. Keep hope the GFS is wrong. Not so improbable. Ukie and GEM look promising
  9. If this happens you've earned it
  10. Mine is at 12-13".As far as this event we seem to be on the northern fringe of most guidance.
  11. 2" call. Far NW burbs haven't overachieved much this winter
  12. Can relax that 50" at ORD by mid Feb. is safe
  13. This would be amazing based on previous slow starts you showed.
  14. From snow drought to this. Quite the rebound
  15. GFSv16 seems biased a bit heavy on amts recently
  16. Maybe 2007-08 had some runs like this particularly NW burbs into WI. Or late 70s winters perhaps
  17. While I'm happy futility records are in the rear view mirror for this winter; this turn around was a statistical long shot from the data you presented about similar starts. Also while February looks colder and with better chances to pad totals its not a given. A window opens but can quickly shut. Its not like its a foregone conclusion ORD is hitting 40"+ for seasonal totals.
  18. 6.5" down. Snowing moderately. Southern LOT can no longer state NW burbs always do better
  19. Nice. Will have to get out to measure but figured 5-6". Areas south by LOT seemed to do well also
