Sometimes Augusts bring heavy rains to our area. I seem to remember some of our biggest floods occurring that month.Or hope you set up under a ring of fire pattern but this is setting up like a long watering season

Seems most years here in N IL you have the oscillation of 80s one day to 50s the next day till late May. Then as if someone flips a switch it goes to 70 or higher and just stays there. You have some fantastic 70+ weather for about 3 weeks in June before heat >90F hits late Jun. into the Jul4th holiday.

Hoping 60% with at least one shot maybe a target number in seeing significant case decline. IL still at only 46% with at least one shot

Had some 40-50 mph gusts with heavy rain and bolts for a brief 15min stretch while dropping my son off for soccer. Lightning detection system for fields worked.

Just received my Pfizer second dose yesterday. First dose just a sore arm but this one has hit like a truck. Low grade fever, chills, couldn't sleep last night. Arm really sore, fatigue, and body aches I didn't know could hurt.lol Took some acetaminophen to cut fever and aches hopefully starts to wind down in the next 24hrs.

Annual spring rite of passage. More 40-60F temps till 3rd week of May. Around Memorial Day flip a switch to 70s and 80s and never go back.

My kids play indoor volleyball and over the winter my son played indoor soccer. IL required they wear masks. Now my son has moved to his outdoor club soccer season. They still have to wear masks.

Drove to Springfield IL from my place to receive 1st Pfizer dose. In my early 50s with controlled hypertension. Will confess I was annoyed with Pritzker seemingly moving eligibility from group 1B to opening it up to everybody over 16 on April 12th. Thought there would be a window of opportunity for group 1C. Vaccine appointments are not that easy to come by yet.

Wonder if there will be a window of eligibility for group 1C before they open it to everyone in IL. Chicago opens it to 1C March 29th. Cases have plateaued and started to increase by 10% in 14 states and by 50% in Michigan. IL bottomed out at 760 cases but today over 2300. Maybe seeing start of a spike however large that will be. Will see if this has any effect down the road on hospitalizations and deaths.
