Congrats to you all to the south and east. Nice looking video from DC down through southern MD. Just under an inch here in Winchester. Light snow 29 degrees.

Yep. The models were all over that cutoff the past couple of days. The gfs clearly was the best with it. I don't care. Snow is falling. Below freezing temps. Can't complain.

Coming down nicely out in the winchester area. Reports of thundersnow down around Staunton. Thank God the NAM was full of crap. All hail the new GFS. Snow 31 degrees.

Nah. Not yet. I still think 2-4 is a good call for us. But we were out of the heavy stuff as soon as the GFS sniffed this one. I'll take whatever I can get.:)

Lol. Frederick County, VA/Winchester about the only people in the subforum without an advisory. Although I am pretty confident we will see snow.

Good news on the GFS for those of us to the NW is the expansion of the precip shield up into central PA. I figured we would start seeing that as the model runs closer the event came in. Still think the the battleground is further SE than normal and we dont end up seeing a death band out this way. But getting skunked seems unlikely at this point as well. Just glad we are actually about to see a decent region wide storm in a Nina. Enjoy everyone.
