  1. Yeah. My folks are a little NW of Philly and they got destroyed today. No doubt.
  2. Picked up .7 over the past 2 hours. 9.8 total for the event. Have a little over 8 on the ground. And it is still snowing. Some great snow piles at the end of driveway. This stuff is going to be around for a while. Should pass 10 inches overnight hopefully. This is the best Miller B I can ever remember for our area. We usually get completely shafted in Miller B's. Not this time.
  3. You just got a little unlucky with the banding. No one can know who is gonna get lucky with that. It worked out for us this time. Probably you next time. This band isnt as heavy as I was expecting. I will measure later tonight. Now that the suns down compaction should be less anyways.
  4. Band looks like it held together for Winchester. I am gonna break 10. sweet.
  5. Time sensitive. Watch that DC/NOVA band fire up: https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/?parms=regional-eastcoast-14-48-1-100-1&checked=map&colorbar=undefined
  6. You are about to get some nice snow man. Radar looks good.
  7. Nice band firing up across the river from Eastern Loudoun/Western Fairfax. Incoming!
  8. Lightened up again here. Dont know if that band to the north will make it here or not.
  9. Nice brother. Hope I can snag another inch. Double digit snows are the best.
  10. I will be moving to Eastern Shore in the next couple of years. Gonna miss the mountains. But the nice thing about the Mid Atlantic is the mountains, beaches and cities are all within 3 hours. Love living here.
  11. Banding sitting over Winchester again. 9.1 for the event. 20Z HRRR looks pretty nice for the next couple of hours. Nothing crazy but maybe another couple of inches through 01Z.
  12. Starting to get breezy out of the NW in our area as well.
  13. Perfect flakes falling now. And the sun is no longer visible through the clouds. Game back on.
  14. Next band moving into the Winchester area now. I was a little hesitant in believing what the models were spitting out. But the radar is filling in beautifully. 8.8 total for the storm so far. Should easily pass the December storm. Which was my goal. Snow 28 degrees.
  15. Down to light snow here. I can actually see the sun through the clouds to my South. Cant wait for those heavy evening bands to come through later this evening.
  16. What a beast: https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/?parms=regional-eastcoast-14-48-1-100-1&checked=map&colorbar=undefined
  17. .3 in the past hour 8.7 for the event so far. Can someone explain what causes a band like the one from Hancock to Winchester to just set up and sit stationary like this? Is it because the low is stationary. Or does it have something to do with the air at the upper levels?
