RGEM is much faster than the NAM with the precip. Gets snow into my area 18Z Wednesday.

This outer band is firing up now. Looks like maybe another hour or so of decent snow for me. I am happy though. Gonna probably end up with around 4 inches. And the models really wanted to put my area in the screw zone yesterday.

The snow had almost stopped here and then the sky just opened up again. Winchester death band forming. 2.7 inches and counting. Snow 32 degrees.

1.7 inches so far here in Winchester. Had to go measure since the plow woke me up. Nice to have the snowpack freshened up. Gorgeous morning. Snow 31 degrees.

In reality this has always been a 2-4 event for us. That was clear on Thursday. And I am fine with it.

What a weenie run the 12Z GFS is for the Winchester area. Snow on snow on snow. 3 storms in a week. Book. it.

I need the NAM's 7 inches. My snowpack has taken a serious hit today. Down to 4 inches.

One thing I have noticed since last nights runs is that every model is expanding the size of the precip shield. It is big enough now that just about everyone is going to see something fall. that is a win IMO.

GFS is much better this run. Digging more at 66 Nice run for DC and south. Might need to go to the beach house this weekend. OC gets the goods.

Yes. Been a weird winter on the models. A couple of days ago the GFS looked like the Euro does right now. And Euro looked like the NAM does right now. It is maddening in all honesty.
