  1. Lightened up again here. Dont know if that band to the north will make it here or not.
  2. Nice brother. Hope I can snag another inch. Double digit snows are the best.
  3. I will be moving to Eastern Shore in the next couple of years. Gonna miss the mountains. But the nice thing about the Mid Atlantic is the mountains, beaches and cities are all within 3 hours. Love living here.
  4. Banding sitting over Winchester again. 9.1 for the event. 20Z HRRR looks pretty nice for the next couple of hours. Nothing crazy but maybe another couple of inches through 01Z.
  5. Starting to get breezy out of the NW in our area as well.
  6. Perfect flakes falling now. And the sun is no longer visible through the clouds. Game back on.
  7. Next band moving into the Winchester area now. I was a little hesitant in believing what the models were spitting out. But the radar is filling in beautifully. 8.8 total for the storm so far. Should easily pass the December storm. Which was my goal. Snow 28 degrees.
  8. Down to light snow here. I can actually see the sun through the clouds to my South. Cant wait for those heavy evening bands to come through later this evening.
  9. What a beast: https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/?parms=regional-eastcoast-14-48-1-100-1&checked=map&colorbar=undefined
  10. .3 in the past hour 8.7 for the event so far. Can someone explain what causes a band like the one from Hancock to Winchester to just set up and sit stationary like this? Is it because the low is stationary. Or does it have something to do with the air at the upper levels?
  11. That WRF run is straight up weenie for the Northern 81 crew. Would be a legit 6-10 on top of what we already have. Really heavy bands later this evening if true.
  12. I think the Blue Ridge is what saved us from flipping in all honesty.
  13. Rates picking up nicely out here. Well under 1/2 mile visibility. 8.4 total for the event. Snow 27 degrees.
  14. Like I said earlier. Winchester just lucked out with this one. If you look at 24 hour radar loops we had bands set up over us and pivot for hours. Very lucky. And this will probably end up being the best Miller B ever here.
  15. Next band of snow incoming to the Winchester area now. You can really see the sleet line on this radar as well. It is east of the Blue ridge.
  16. First shovel of today done. 8.1 total for the event. A little over 7 on the ground after compaction. Some respectable 2 foot driveway walls. That is always my bar. Give me 2 foot walls on the driveway and 4 foot mounds at the bottom so they can stick around for a few weeks. Light snow 26 degrees.
  17. I love cod nexrad but it won't work on my phone. If you are on a pc use that.
  18. My area really just lucked out so far with this one. We have had these little 5 mile wide snow bands of moderate snow hit us. Pure luck. But I will take it.
  19. It is awesome out here right now. Best rates of the entire event. It must have snowed all night because I had another 1.2 on my board when I just swept it. 7.6 total for the event so far and coming down nicely.
  20. This last little band out here is nice. Coming down well right now.
