I'm very upset about Intellicast. Looks like Weather Underground took over. The site is very slow and not laid out as nice.
I agree. Intellicast was not perfect but it worked perfect on my iPhone. Kinda annoying. Wunderground is horrible. You know what it is, weather channel owns wunderground and I still think the weather channel sucks. The only time I liked weather channel was when Dave Schwartz and Paul Koćin was the winter weather expert. Now it’s just here with a bunch of ’s

My call is 4-8 for Central Park now. Based on my observations this call is 4-8 of slop from Central Park up to White Plains, NY

Hey how come NOAA.gov site is down and also what happened to intellicast.com? I don’t get it. 35 degrees outside and cooling down slowly

Oh no? Comes in as 37° rain for NYC, ends as freezing drizzle.
I don’t think Central Park goes above 32 tomorrow. At least until the precipitation moves in. I’m just making this call from my weather observation skills. I may be wrong but I think we wetbulb to about 30 degrees tomorrow evening when it initially snows and it’ll come in like a wall before any apparent change over to mix and rain. This could be a freezing rain type of deal too the models are not 100% not even at this range. But it does look like 3-6 for Central Park.

No that’s not going to be the case Tim. I mean in life anything is possible just chances are against that. Unless you live in south jersey

Yup, worst winter ever.
It’s 80% frozen and trending colder. It’ll be a fun storm cheer up debby

Talk about a useless model. They deep-sixed the NOGAPS for it, but it hasn't been much of an improvement. If they are looking for ways to save money in DC, one way would be to eliminate this model.
Honestly bro I think navgem is a better model than the gfs and Canadian put together

Uncle looks way south
Navgem 18z south?

And doorman this isn’t a clipper. It’s coming from the pacific. It’s a very juicy system not a moisture starved system that redevelops off the coast.
p.s. Gfs and cmc are the worst models.
i swear I think sometimes the navgem is a better model than both gfs and cmc

The trend is real. We can still get another 30-40 miles south and get 8 inches of snow and sleet. Maybe NOAA is right about the winter storm watch after all. Let’s see what gfs shows. It needs to show a colder solution otherwise it’s a red flag

GFS being colder and more east gives me more confidence that euro and ukmet are near the real solution. Also I honestly think icon is a better model than the GFS

Came a bit north like other guidance. Closer to consensus.
It honestly looks good for an easy 3-6 in the city itself.

Well Feen, you may be right. However, I would not get your hopes up considering how this winter has gone thus far.
Fair enough. We’ll see

So basically you want to bet that our snowiest month of the season on average is going to be our snowiest month?
No I’m betting that it’s going to be a big big month for cold and especially snow. Way above average

February is our month. Anybody want to bet?
if I lose I don’t post for the whole summer if I win you don’t post for the summer

Hey yanks wasn’t the euro showing 40’s for the city a couple of days ago or it was just the GFS showing that?
