It's now mostly a very wet snow in southern Westchester County (near the Long Island Sound). No snow is sticking.
Come on I have a healthy coating in the Bronx and you have no stickage?

Thats where I am and it's definitely not 32, it's pouring snow and not sticking at all, temps too warm.
White plains for sure those graphics are not 100%

What does this indicate? Asking for a friend. (That friend is me)
.It means anything on the border of westchester/Bronx border is the 32 degrees (you see the line) where all the columns are cold enough for snow.

First area of precip crossing the metro is rain. I expect the Bronx and northern Manhattan prbosbly will be snow when they main batch arrives within the hour
That was drizzle now the real precipitation is around Newark I’m 100% it’s snowing as I just spoke to a friend in Newark. City will snow now for at least 3hours.

No offense but this was never really about East of the Hudson River. I thought the city and LI would see a few inches and I still think that possible but that area isn't the main concern.
This is a four inch snow event for the city. 8 for Mahopac. 5 inches for yanks. 1 inch for Anthony. 10 for mountain creek, 14 got Monticello, 9 for Boston. 19 for Albany. And half an inch for Philadelphia. Bangor Maine 23

That's exactly what will happen in this storm. The very low Arctic dews are going to be advecting south during the event. This is where I think models are the worst. They put too much emphasis on latent heat in that scenario and not enough on advection of dews.
That’s very good news for us . Do you see Central Park getting 4 inches tops? Reminds me of November 15th event here in nyc. It snowed for 4-5 hours for 6 inches and it changed to rain. The models don’t really account the evaporative and dynamic cooling so we’ll have to watch that at the onset.
4 inches for Central Park and 10 inches for Boston
-
We’re getting more than an inch of snow guarantee you
-
My call is for 4 inches on Central Park
