  1. Arent we going to be to warm for anything other than rain this weekend?
  2. They're all horrible. Thrown em all out. Nowcasting for every storm!!! Lol
  3. Don't give up hope. Its not over. Even if it is mild..we could still have that one epic storm.
  4. You'll thank me later..lol Just trying to be supportive. But.. I am here for the weather.
  5. I think there's a lot of people on here that try to school others, even if it's just to try to help them, just as there's a lot of people on here who have no clue what they're saying and all they do is have negative comments. Yes it annoys me and sometimes I find myself commenting as well just to try to bring light to what someone is saying. But as they say, you can't fix stupid. But who am I to judge. I'm just as disappointed as anyone else in this forum about Wednesday. I was so excited about getting some snow finally. Yes, it's not like we are so overdue, at least not here in Connecticut, but the prospects of snow in the next two to three weeks doesn't look so hot. One thing that I do know is that the weather does change, and things can change in the next two to three weeks where we see something pop up that we didn't expect. Those are the most wonderful surprises in the weather world. When I see some of you wanting to drink your sorrows away because we didn't get the snow, I'm I think to myself boy, do you have nothing in your life that's worth living for besides weather LOL. I mean I'm a weather geek like the rest of you, but I have a lot of other things to be thankful for. I'm looking forward to that one storm where it brings us all together and we're all happy and excited. Until then.....
  6. Okay. I'm sorry in advance. You have got to be kidding me man. " it's not our Winter"?? Are you serious?? I thought you were a grown adult? Lol I get you're frustrated about the last 2 events ( maybe a little scorned for that 4"-8" call the other day ). I get the frustration. I myself am a little disappointed, but even a few inches at this stage of the game is a win!. I only say all this to you because you should be an example.for.the younger crew on here. How much can happen with january-february like last year. Everybody forgot about December January after that awesome February we had. As Cher said " SNAP OUT OF IT " ( with a slap ). Lol Here's to positive vibes
  7. My gut all along is that we maybe get 1"-3" here in Connecticut. I still think that's the case. I do think the Euro will take the Snows back up a bit oh, and the GFS will slide south of it
  8. Lol.. Coming feom you, thats funny. Your mood changes like the Wind
  9. Not feeling good vibes about the Wednesday storm. Seems only the GFS is on board to bring a decent little Snow event to SNE. Pretty much every other model is way south and east. Euro Pretty much brings us nothing. Its hard to be optimistic with only the GFS showing the heavier snows. Have to stay real about it. Let's see what happens with today's runs.
  10. And hence the difference between young and inexperienced, and older and wiser LOL. I will venture to Guess that George001 is a younger fellow.
  11. Are you referring to the GFS? I really think that will trend to more snow than ice ( especially that all the other models are flattered with just snow )
  12. I mean.. Who would want 12"-15"? Do I think we'll see that? No I don't, but.. W need to see the other models shift back a bit. A blend could give inland connecticut a good 3"-6"/4"-8" ( hey... Maybe Kevin will get his 4"-8" after all ) lol
  13. Usually when we have one extreme, you get the rubber band effect ( snaps back the other way ) to happen right after .. at least during the winter months. Let's hope that's the case for storm on Wednesday
  14. You should have kept your forecasts the way it is. Things can drastically change by January. But being so erratic you're not going to have the respect from people on the Forum. Just sayin in a friendly kind of way.
  15. Yeah... Quite a spin. The one thing I'll say to you, I too love the winter, love the snow. But I'm also realistic. I've been on this Earth for 50 years, when it comes to the winter weather it makes me feel like a kid. My family in the house here laugh and how much I enjoy it am I as they all love the summer and warmth. The only thing that bothers me it's when someone taunts other people on purpose oh, kind of poking them with the hot poker just to get a reaction. That I don't find cool. I'm sure you mean well. And I'm sure that you'll get what you want out of winter and we'll get what we want out of winter. Only time will tell
  16. lolol Torch Tiger, you just love getting reactions from people. The sad thing is, some people on here have a hard time with staying positive and all you're doing is feeding into that dagger in the back idea. I could care less what you have to say. It really doesn't bother me one way or the other when it comes to your childish comments, but you're not doing anyone any favors either. There's always going to be a few of you out there. But I did want to comment on however was the fact that you're saying Winters quickly passing Us by. That has me rolling on the floor laughing. As smart as I thought you were, I guess you're not that smart after all. For one, meteorological winter starts December 1st, and for two, the actual winter starts December 21st. Climate to logically I'm especially Southern New England to the Mid-Atlantic, we really don't see when you're kicking into gear until January February. So troll all you want, I'll just look at it as some Weather comedy.
  17. I was also just going to comment. What a cynical group we have here. We are only at November 30th people. November 30th!! In the last 36 hours we've had people on the ceiling and people on the floor following every single model run like that's the say all end all of what's going to happen. I love coming on here to discuss the weather and talk about the possibilities. The one thing I don't like is the negativity and the people giving up on something that hasn't even started yet LOL. I'm not going anywhere, but it's comical to see these people, and quite a good amount, cliff jumping, just to climb back up that rock face to the top oh, and jump again if need be. It almost feels like I'm on here with a bunch of ten-year-olds. And I know for a fact that most of you are well over 10 LOL. You should almost be embarrassed that you're acting like children. Instead, let's have fun and discuss weather and the possibilities of what could happen whether it's rain or snow.
  18. Umm.. Today is Tuesday, right? Why do we have the same reactions to the model runs when it's this far out?? I don't get it? Lolol. Let the freak outs begin. Ha!
  19. That's awesome. First a cutter, than a coastal. Thanks for posting. Excited for what comes next.
  20. Leave it to this winner to post in the Winter thread dor Warm weather. Lol In all seriousness, how in the world can we even say what will happen? The models keep waffling back and forth. I dor one am not banking on one outcome over another. Time will tell.
  21. Although I appreciate your enthusiasm, you do realize that there is zero model support for your snowfall prediction. I don't mean to be harah, but, there us wishful thinking, and there is being realistic. No one will fault you for being overly optomistic, but, its time to face the reality. This storm may bring the area 2"-4" or 3"-6" at best
  22. Yeah, but isn't the NAO heading towards postive?
