  1. 32 here... About 2" of concrete snow sleet... A bit of sleet now. Crazy. It pretty much stayed all frozen ( there was rain mixed in wehni was up to let the dogs out at 4:30 ). It was also 33 then...back to 32. I think there is supposed to be some snow showers this afternoon.
  2. It's about 75% snow 25% sleep here. We're coming down now for the last 35-40 minutes. Coating on the ground now. Temp down to 33. It was 37 when we got home at about 7:15
  3. It sure has. And I'm still not sure if we're going to see anything better than what's predicted. The weather guys here in CT seem to think it will switch over to rain even where I am west of Hartford. But some of the model show it's staying frozen through out the event. It'll be fun to track
  4. The one thing I'm still I'm sure about is where I'm at, just above 84 west of Hartford, are we going to change to sleet and stay sleet? I've seen everything from a change to sleet than rain then back to sleet and snow. This is definitely been a gray area for us here.
  5. Wondering how far south the watches will go? Hoping they make it to the 4 northern counties of CT ( I'm pulling for you guys on the coast as well ). Not sure we will even get a watch here though.
  6. Come on guys you see me on here all the time. I'm not a troll post. I was just being funny. I'm just trying to break the ice here as everybody's on their toes. Waiting to see what happens. Just a joke, that's all lol
  7. No, nothing's happening yet, just saying that I'm a holy cow, the euro is going to be out shortly. Lololol ( just trying to add a little humor here ).
  8. But Kev said the NAM will be the winner ( in his words.. it always wins). Lol I'm just busting chops now... We shall see who comes out victorious... But for me just West of Hartford by about 13 miles... I'll take the GFS/UKIE blend.
  9. Has it really been that correct with these last storms. I thought that it tended to be a bit warmer. Like the last one we just had, I didn't think the name nailed that, but I could be wrong.
  10. As I do agree this is not a snow event, maybe just two or three inches at most, what I don't agree that you're saying 99% of the state is rain. I watched two of the weather stations for Connecticut, which I'm sure you're familiar with and both are calling for change to rain and the shoreline probably up through mid-state. The Northern half of the state Will change to sleep and we could get a good accumulation of sleet, they're even saying. Could we change back to snow tomorrow? I'll be at light. I am hopeful for next Saturday, Sunday time frame. We're getting to the very end game now, so we'll see what happens for next weekend. Some of our biggest snow storms were mid-March. We shall see
  11. That's a noticeable shift south. I mentioned earlier about the windshield wiper effect. We may see the other models come back south again, or they may take north again. I think at this point it's safe to say that Connecticut at least the top half we'll see Frozen precipitation. Some snow and then some sleet... I'm never up this late, but we're at the emergency vet with our cat ( she decided to chase one of the other cats down the stairs and went ahead first right into the wall ). So to take my mind up things I've been reading and watching what's going on tonight.
  12. Funny thing with this system .... Things can easily keep trending north, but.. they can also trend south again... We are experiencing the " Windshield wiper " effect. We have all of tomorrow to see which way this goes. I'm not sure any of us can say for sure who is getting what..... Especially on the northern and southern sides of this impending storm. Kind of a fun system to track to see which way it leans by Friday. We shall see
  13. There's always a chance!! And there is a signal. So the chances real
  14. Correct me from wrong, but I feel that in the past winter seasons you had tended to favor the Euro. Any thoughts on this year? ( Not being as accurate this season has passed ). GFS has been more consistent showing the storm as a colder solution and the Euro has it much farther north. Are you going with a blend or would you side with one of the two global models ( Not to put you on the spot lol ). But you are our guy!! ;-)
  15. Ha!! I was just saying to @CtRain yesterday that I was surprised we were not a Winter Storm warning. Here it is!
  16. That sounds fair. Wouldn't we be on the cusp of a winter storm warning with four to eight inches? I would think winter weather advisory would dictate three to five, even three to six.
  17. Get that, so what would you say. 4" to 6" or would you say 4" to 8"? Also, do you think there's a chance that they would upgrade to a winter storm warning in Hartford tolland and Windham counties ?
