  1. It's not going to be a washout. Some scattered showers around today on and off. Although there's some heavy ones in the east part of CT. Tomorrow looks like they'll be a band that sets up in a narrow area of Connecticut. But all the places on either side will see. Not much rain at all. So it's not going to be as bad as originally anticipated. We'll see what happens
  2. In all fairness, went black and read what you had posted. Although you were very excited about it a big change to more wintry pattern heading into later December, you also did give some thoughts on the possibility of what could happen with us not getting the right setup. I always respect what you post.
  3. Hmmmm... I remember last October/November there was a lot of talk of a good pattern setting up... by you as well ( and please know.. not saying this in as it is a bad thing ). Even you had mentioned late in the season that things didn't quite work out the way you had thought ( and several others I might add ) That's what I meant with my post, but I am hoping that this season is at least somewhat better than last season.
  4. Is actually a good sign. Last year at this time there were all these calls that went to was going to be amazing. I'm just about everyone. I think we all went into December thinking this is going to be epic and it turned out to be a big weenie dud. So I'm going with a better winter. Plus, this whole super Nina thing, I'm not sure that's happening. Moderate at best.
  5. That's what happened last weekend. But then it corrected itself a little more west
  6. You can, just move to San Diego and you'll have this kind of weather all year long. Then your consistent posts about staying warm and being warm always be valid. I found a solution for you. Aren't you excited?
  7. Plainville... but I'm a rocks throw from the Farmington line. But yes... from the last few storms before this one... we were one of the areas that had the highest totals.
  8. For the first several days of October... yes. But.. looking ahead to the following Sunday and Monday.. temps may not get above 60 for next Monday. Torch no More!
  9. What happened to the 5"-10". Lol Jk... still a lot of rain. Have another surge of Rain coming in from the East. We'll see how long this lasts. Sitting at 3.62".
  10. 2.90" rain here... Coming down steadily to sometimes heavy. I don't think this is nearly done. I think we'll have a bit of a lull in the next few hours, but it seems like it'll ramp back up and go through tonight. The question is when will it end tomorrow. This could be some pretty impressive amounts when it's done.
  11. .79" here now. Crazy... but I'm surprised they haven't added Hartford county to that flood watch?
  12. Let's remember How the different models looked today and by the time the storm in Saturday. I think we'll be able to know who seems to have the upper hand by then
  13. But the GFS didn't have much rain for Connecticut. The euro shows a tremendous amount of rain for the Boston area and even in Connecticut about 2 to 3 in
  14. It's funny.. I think the GFS was wrong for the storm this past weekend. I wound up with 4.55" at my house.. and that fell predominantly Sunday into Monday.
  15. Really?? Houses are washing away here west of the River.... trees are down everywhere.... people and cows are flying by left and right..... SAID NO ONE! Barely a wet ground here.
  16. Why is it a fail because it didn't hit us? Lol.. Man You have no idea. My folks got hit by hurricane again Ian last year and only did it. Devastate for Myers and Cape Coral, but they had lots of damage at their own house. Just because people have insurance. Insurance doesn't mean that they don't have to endure the costs and the heartache of everything it brings. So before you go, wishing to have a big storm hit us here, I hope this helps you understand why getting hit with a hurricane isn't as fun as you think. And I swear some of you guys on here must I've been dropped when you were babies..lol
  17. Ha!!! Just let it go. This one's a goner. There's always the one brewing behind Lee...
  18. I had also said this would be silly to wish for a hurricane. I agree that it would be very exciting, however, I ventured a guess that people would love it. Don't have a house that they own or worry about damage to their property. If they do have a house and they don't care about that, more power to em. I stopped saying anything because people blast you when you say it's silly to wish for something that would devastate the area.
  19. Trust me... I love the idea of the hurricane.... but.. I really don't want to worry about trees hitting my home or being without power for many days. Sandy affected friends of mine down on the shore and they lost everything. So... yes.. i love a good hurricane ( when I was younger I even hurricane chased when there was Bob that hit Rhode Island, it was exhilarating ). But not now
  20. There was never really a good chance of this hitting Southern New England. It was even a stretch touching Cape cod. I'd rather have a massive blizzard than a devastating hurricane. You still get all the excitement, and yes you still get some issues with a blizzard, but you don't get the widespread damage that you would get with a hurricane.
  21. I agree, but your buddy Kevin is bracing for a storm and no one's telling him otherwise...lolol
