  1. I think all we need around here is one or two inches next Friday night to cover everything up and give us a festive feel for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Even without the big storm, I think that would really make a lot of us happy and just put us in that spirit. If we don't have it. I'm still going to be in the spirit, but it would just make the spirit even more exciting for us whether weenies. And before any of you shoot down my post or call me a weenie, you know you want it just as much as I do
  2. Any chance that we could get a bit of a change over at the end of the storm on Friday night? I'm starting to feel a touch of optimism that we could maybe get that. Even a coating would be nice. It would stay on the ground for Christmas with the cold temperatures
  3. Someone just mentioned that Larry Cosgrove said the storm was going to reform in North Carolina. I asked to see or for them to post an article with that, but nothing was given. They said they did see it. I just think it's pulling its straws at this point
  4. Damn you!!! Lolol I hoped you were wrong about December. Now please say something like we're going to have an amazing January. ;-)
  5. You mean the week after this storm next Thursday/ Friday, right? One of these model runs are bound to stick ( just like all the Snow we are getting ) lol
  6. I'm sorry. I don't want to be " one of those guys ". But... Are you not ready to let this go yet? Let me know if you need to talk..... I'm a good listener.. hehe
  7. Is there really anything exciting to see in the foreseeable future at this point? I feel like all the wonderful possibilities are gone.
  8. I hope now is with this extreme cutter working through the Midwest, that it will help to reset things and drag the cold air down, and hopefully can grab on to something after this storm passes. I don't think any of us will ever give up hope, even when we say we're done.
  9. This storm is going somewhere through Indiana. If anyone had it have hoped of this coming back east... This is done. Still fun to talk about if we want to talk about the Midwest. Sounds like it's going to be a good storm for them as far as a winter storm. For us, rain and looks like some good wind.
  10. It's one truly is a done deal. It's not coming back in any way shape or form. Now for separate storm followed on its heels by some odd chance, that would be a different story. But this particular storm. It is absolutely 100% not for the Northeast
  11. Remember, just takes one awesome storm to make us forget. Keep the faith man
  12. I for one and fine with not being a big snowstorm for Christmas Eve. A few days before would have been great, but I don't want it to mess up the weather for Christmas Eve. Our family is getting together. Comment will all be together for the first time in years. The other piece of the puzzle that I'm laughing about is, as I read all these comments on how there are people here writing things off and saying how it's going to be a torch at the new year or it's going to be a rainer for everyone before the new year?? We had no idea what was happening with this storm before we got here, we have no idea what's going to happen the week after. How the hell are you guys making predictions on what's going to happen by the new year? At this point. It's hilarious to watch some of you melting down over what's upcoming. Everyone here knows that there's going to be surprises. Everyone here knows that the models will change back and forth after Christmas. Collect yourself people. It's the weather, it's supposed to be erratic! :-)
  13. I got your how many of you feel about Bernie Rayno and how much stock you put into his forecasts, but he did say the models would come east.. But never far enough to be an east coast storm.
  14. So I watched Bernie reyno on Twitter about 20 minutes ago. Pretty informative. I would say. He does feel that the models will probably swing east again, but nothing off the coast. At least that's what he thinks. As of now. He feels like it'll drive up somewhere between Detroit and maybe Pittsburgh. So I have succumbed to the fact that we will not be getting snowstorm here on the east coast at the end of next week. I did say this before, if it was going to happen on Christmas Eve and I don't want it to happen at all. My folks are here from Florida. Come and my dad's getting older and I rather spend it with my entire family and have it canceled because of a big snowstorm. I can't get these memories back with my parents, but I know I'll get more snow storms. Onward and upward as they say.
  15. You heard these guys, the masters have spoken. This is not going to be a snow event. This is an inland runner and we're all going to get rain. It is set in stone. Any who think otherwise are idiots or dreamers ( jk ). Lolol
  16. My daughter did get excited when she saw the nor'easter and snow, likely in the forecast for the end of next week. I told her I was excited to, but not to get too excited as it would likely change. Boy I hate being pessimistic... But I need to let her know it May not always go the way we want ( oh wait, I was telling myself that ) lol
  17. My other half those french pretty well, me not so much lol. My mom is a Canadian citizen, so I can put in for dual citizenship. It really is a thought, but we're not going anywhere for at least the next 12 years. Who knows, by that point Quebec City may be more like New York City with the weather haha
  18. That's so funny! You should say that. My husband and I originally were thinking that we'd be retiring down in South America or the Caribbean, now......We're actually thinking about retiring up in Quebec City. That will make me a very happy man lol
