  1. Yea but for like 5 minutes lol The more realistic high was 61 since we've been sitting there for hours.
  2. I have no idea how they get in. It's really aggravating, I've been battling them for many years. They're literally aliens. Hideous creatures.
  3. How do you feel about those 3 inch centipedes that like to live in the home?
  4. Yea but it's not from a wave of way above normal temps like 70s or 80s or something, it's more of a steady few degrees above normal over many days with a few +10s and a couple -10s mixed in.
  5. I don't know if you'll get there. We already have developing southerly winds.
  6. Only spot that beat you are the Pine Barrens on LI
  7. Where did your grandmother live in Queens if you don't mind me asking?
  8. My neighborhood lost tons of giant, old trees because of the tornado in September 2010. As a tree lover it was an epic disaster. I had four Bradfords around the corner of my house, two got destroyed from the storm, the other two had their crowns broken but they're still alive and growing!
  9. Bradford Pears do have some swelling but no leaf popping. Also the typical Sugar/Red Maples with their reddish buds have swelled. Otherwise the majority of trees still "look" like winter mode. Zero leaves of any stage.
  10. Where are there leaves popping in our area? I see nothing. Unless I'm misunderstanding this map.
  11. He can't respond right now, he's outside shoveling.
  12. Is there a way to get rid of that thin bar on the right side of the screen that narrows down all content that follows below for the whole page? I am talking about the popular posts, popular posters, etc., bar.
  13. There was a solid dropoff in precip amunts east of the city:
  14. 1.29 inches at LGA, more from this pop up event than from that "major" storm a few days ago.
  15. That Central Park number is crap EDIT: I see you addressed that faulty 4.2 inch number in another post.
  16. Models have gotten a little better in terms of precip amounts for the upcomning event.
  17. My new averages are based solely on 2024. So far March has been well below normal.
  18. That surprise 5 inches (which I remember well) ruined the record for least snowy winter on record.
  19. Yea I remember that, it was giving us snow meanwhile other models had it going through northern New England latitude.
  20. Haha I love this. We need a thumbs up emoji
  21. I'm all in on this idea. Let's be real climate change is a global problem, not a specific country problem. I don't care how many initiatives and policies the West implements, even if we went 100% greenhouse gas free China alone accounts for a third of global emissions, so what's the point of we give other places a pass to pollute? And no they should not be given time to catch up on polluting the Earth lol, you think the Earth gives a crap who's polluting and when they started? So I only see geo engineering as a practical solution to this global problem. It's actually feasible to cool the Earth back to preindustrial levels by annual releases of aerosols in the stratosphere, and the cost would be something like 20 to 40 billion dollars, a drop in the bucket. I hope this takes off and we go all in on this.
  22. Here's the rest of the month. This is for Central Park just to be clear.
  23. And 3 to 4 inches of snow fell on the 7th.
  24. 75 this time of year is solid air conditioner weather. Sun will bake a house at that temp. No thanks. I'll take a nice 60 to 65 straight throiugh the end of June
