  3. 34/31 Steady snow falling straight down, kind of icy. Starting to accumulate on grass.
  4. For the mets here...how dependent are we on mountain ranges for coastal storms? I once joked if the Appalachians were gone we'd get lots of clippers vs the rain/sleet line that often catches this latitude. I'm kind of wading through these observations trying to connect the dots with the airmass patterns. And DC is smack in the middle of the east coast.
  5. Mortals You amuse me with your analysis, technology and science. I was born of chaos and am the ultimate chaos bringer. Don't attempt to understand me. Sometimes I rule in favor, sometimes not. I'm a moody planet, what can I say. Now resume with your panic and fake hysteria. I look forward to all your efforts. Sincerely, Mother Earth
  6. Spare us your logic and facts. We'll stick with wild eyed hysteria and wish casting.
  7. A calm and quiet 33 degrees in Hillcrest SE. Just over 2 inches of hard snow cone pack!
  8. Exactly what's in my neck of the woods, 23/8. Cloudy. Just heard a plow truck lumbering up the street.
  9. OOPS. My slip Next week looks lit though. Time to stock up now...
  10. Per CWG for DC proper: (EST 10:45pm) "At least morning to midday hours are salvageable for errands, and afternoon snow looks pretty for a time, before roads quickly deteriorate as snow changes to ice into the evening."
  11. 18/1 now, that was quick. Feels pretty raw with the cold though.
  12. Now 19 degrees in SE DCA. Could care less about averages, its cold asf.
  13. I remark that resemble! (or is it ensemble??)
  14. Weird night temp wise...kept bottoming out all night until 6 AM at 32 degrees. Up to 37 about an hour ago.
  15. No thanks. We have June through October for that.
  16. Gives me more time to look at the mud and bugs...and herds of birds plucking worms from soggy yards.
