    So, we finally get the cold shot that the models hinted at for the past 3 or 4 weeks and the moisture suddenly vanishes. Classic stuff there. Let us see what happens though. You know where I am placing my bets.

    ECMWF appears to be showing a storm and plenty of cold on hour 240. Anyone else see that?

    Based on model trends and climatology, I believe we get a good winter storm in VA, NC, and upstate SC in the Jan 7 to Jan 12 range. Just an opinion, but there will be ample cold shots. Just need moisture.

    Well, GFS up to its old tricks of showing a storm but losing the battle with the UKMET and ECMWF. Fun times. Marginal cold equals rain 99% of the time.

    I moved from Southport, NC to Garner, NC recently. Hoping I see more snow around here than I did down there. :+) They say it is supposed to snow briefly here, but I am not getting my hopes up. Good luck to everyone. Hopefully, some of you get a nice coating of snow.

    If models show a snowstorm 10 days out, be highly skeptical. When the models show a warm up in 10 days, you better believe it as fact lol.

    Still need cold air and so far temps on the models are not going to cut it.
