I haven't seen snow piles this big in a long time!

Hanging out in Manhattan and they definitely got about 3" Those rates were crazy. 1-2"/ hr stuff, and definitely closer towards 2 at times. It piled up QUICK. I'm starting to like these nickel and dime events

That initial thump was legit. Damn near zero visibility at times. Haven't seen snow that heavy since the 2022 snowstorm

NWS will likely go with a WWA for NYC metro for 3-5" locally 6" later unless models trend upwards with amounts. Also 6z RGEM hinting at 2 areas of banding, one just north of NYC and one in central NJ with a subsidence zone in between. Gotta watch that. If that comes to fruition I could see the southern band being a bit more north.

FWIW there is a decent covering of sleet out there. ~1/4" here I'd rather this than 40f and rain *shrugs*
