Dayum, WV! What’s a brother got to do to make that purple and pink head east about 50 miles? (self-weenie and lol)
Looks like a blend of the models says 2-4” for most of us, with 5-7” lollies. After the recent 10” here in Churchville NW of Staunton and it being snow on snow, I obviously take whatever I can get- especially considering everything that falls will stay, despite what a jacked up snowfall depth map Chuck might show us says. Highs here are below freezing Friday (28°), with a low of 8° Friday night.
It has been fun reading all of you for years, for real. I wish I could participate more, but I only recently know a little and I am usually teaching 8th graders or brewing beer at a nanobrewery as my side gig.
Happy new year, fellow snow freaks/ weenies!

By the way my 1-3" fast in and out was meant for the I-95 corridor, probably 3-6" in a few spots just south of that, but still with the ground fairly warm and the fast motion, mid-day clearing trend, can't see this amounting to a big dump of snow for very many. Rates may be good for about 1-2 hours. May do better in central VA too. Better than nothing, anyway.
Can you just let it f-ing snow before you shit on how bad an event it is lol.

Fast 1-3 inches and out by lunch time?
Just going too fast to do very much. Might be heavy snow for a few minutes though.

the precip is so paltry---id be more excited about flurries in october
The event hasn't happened yet. There was no snow modeled at all until recently. There is plenty of time for the modeled solution to get better or to vanish, but pretending like this is the final solution and saying it isn't a big enough event to be exciting is a bit much.

Can you add me please, Mappy?
If you haven't forgotten and just haven't had the time, just ignore me! Just thought you could possibly use a reminder.

EURO has a little something next Wednesday for the favored spots.
Looks like an inch or two of snow to sleet for Staunton, Waynesboro and Augusta County!

The GFS, CMC, Euro, and NAM all say Augusta County sees accumulating snow tomorrow night. Even the conservative positive snow depth change map from the NAM puts 2" on the ground imby. Spring is here, my a$$

Nobody interested in the iconic ICON for Friday?
I am interested, but would like to see at least one other model get on board before analyzing it much.
