  1. Moisture blossoming deep into Alabama and now nw Georgia
  2. I’m getting more and more confident moisture gets here but I have little confidence in the temperatures cooperating.
  3. I think you’re right. Downsloping from the angle of approach is also going to be a challenge but it’s one this thread knows all too well.
  4. 39 degrees now and dropping steadily. So there’s that.
  5. Took the dog out one more time and was pleasantly surprised to see that the stars are still visible
  6. It’s missing most of the precipitation that’s currently in Mississippi and Alabama. I think it’s completely underestimating the southern extent of that moisture which appears to be robust and roughly 50-75 miles south of where the model believes it is.
  7. HRRR is further south this run and it still isn’t accurately depicting the current radar trends.
  8. Preach. The pacific has screwed up everything for long enough. If you don’t have a ridge out west, you might as well be hoping for a torch and nice weather here.
  9. Yea this -NAO certainly didn’t deliver.
  10. Close enough my friend. You’re welcome here. The NW piedmont is hilly enough!
  11. Join us in the foothill thread! We’re analyzing and agonizing as a collective downsloping group.
  12. HRRR initializing 3 degrees warmer than my actual fwiw
  13. Curious - did the temps initialize accurately? I’d say that’s our only hope
  14. 46/27 here. It’s getting cloudy but I can still clearly see the moon and stars.
  15. Interesting. Browsing that platform I about lost my mind because it sucked so much. Major step back from AmericanWx as far as user experience is concerned.
  16. What’s the other board everyone keeps referring to? 33andrain or SouthernWX??
  17. @BIG FROSTYtoo but I haven’t seen him post in years
  18. You’re good - this is the foothills thread. It’ll always consist of more of us getting screwed than winning BUT when we win, we’re popping the champagne in this thread.
  19. There comes a time eventually where we score when we shouldn’t
  20. Yea I love the discussions on the Mtn thread but unfortunately I can no longer relate to living there. temps plummeting here ahead of the cloud cover. Can we make up ground lost today with the warmth??
  21. No worries man. I was just spitballing locations
