That is true . My guess is their worst Snow years are their driest winters In general. Suppression.
If you throw a ton of precip into NNe elevation it’s gonna add up and if nothing else be difficult in ratting regarding synoptic snows , especially during peak climo months . However They may have a relatively early end to their winter activities if the temp anomalies don’t go at least neutral by March
Ahh during the... good period . Looked like NH /Maine up and in would have a net gain still and then a monster coastal later in lala land . With very low heights near Baja we are gonna need help
Drove thru Mount Vernon , lyndonborough, Francestown on way to ski today , those areas are looking at issues . Even Amherst had power trucks out . That whole area SW toward mason , temple and north by MHT ...damage coming
Skiing Crotched mountain today . They got a nice dump last 7 days . 20”
Nice saggy power lines in the towns just to their SE around 500-800’ in Amherst, Mount Vernon . Heavy saggy
That’s not arctic air , he doesn’t live in Northern Maine . Do you know where northfield nh is roughly on a map .
Normal winter radiating nites in his spot have been so few , you mine as well call it arctic
The clown map gives a bit of a chuckle to Methuen mass . 7/10 split . On a serious note I hope this trends under a inch of QPF total and the thump comes thru . Snow to rain is depressing to me know matter if I have 75” or 7” on season
I never really hear many reports from the Maine coast , but it does seem to have quite the microclimate and often be a snowhole due to BL issues as well as prone to some significant Coastal fronts
That Manchester -Hooksett area and toward temple and mason look to me to be ground zero if there is an issue . 7-9” couple days ago and 10” today of the wet stuff . I would have anticipate outages there now
Is there any real chance the system itself trends 30-50 M further S with warning snows, either via confluence , weaker system , etc
Im pretty satisfied it will be a net gainer @ Sunapee
About 3” new in Bedford mass
on drive home from Concord NH you notice quite the drop off crossing into mass on route 3 In Tyngsboro . There was a initial drop of from Merrimack to Nashua
Euro actually hit CT solid with advisory snows better than an E Ma with the first thump Wednesday pm and then usual suspects from monads to Concord NH north cash in
