They might have more snow than us even if it doesn't bust. A 4 inch snowstorm still keeps NYC in single digits snowfall and if we don't get any more snow this winter, that will be yet another single digit snowfall winter.

Is there a chance the period from the 25th onward is just average instead of being milder than average? Many of the models don't even have it all that mild for the first part of February.

you don't know shit about the geography of this area, if the city is getting 2-4 inches so is the south shore of Nassau county, they are way more similar than they are to the east end.

you say *canonical la nina* all the time but guess what, a cold December and cold January are also *canonical la nina*, and February is the shortest month of the year so if it's in the 50s and sunny all month, I think we'll all be happy, especially if it's a cold and snowy back half of January, most will be done with winter after this.
