    Nobody on here is denying that for the new 30 year averages it was below normal. some people get triggered at the suggestion that notwithstanding the 30 year averages, it was not a very cold winter irrespective of the 30 year baseline, which it was not.

    Look at those stats one more time. This winter falls on the warmer side of overall records and within a degree of winters in the 70s. It’s an average winter, but a colder winter compared to the last decade.

We are in a valley here surrounded by 200-300 foothills and away from any ocean or sound influence, so I’m guessing that does it. Center island and flat
