    Looks good to me! First fantasy storm in at least a week!

    I think the December 20th-22nd timeframe looks interesting. The GFS & GEFS have had some sort of storm during that time period for a couple days now. I don't know if anything will pan out, but that seems like our next best chance of snow from the models and ensembles.

    Looks like I'm under a dry slot right now. I would say I have close to an inch on my deck.

    I was trying to post a video, but no idea how to compress it. Anyways, snowing pretty good near Karns area. I'd say I'm at about half an inch on the deck so far.

    Pretty big jump on the SREF plumes for Knoxville from the 9am. Average went from 1 inch to 1.8 inches.

    This is a full weenie post, but I'm not sure I've ever seen a member show such high snow totals for east TN as member 41 on the Euro last night. I just wanted to post it as it is likely we won't see another weenie run like this for a long time.

    00z HRRR was pretty pathetic on the snow totals. 2-4 inches in NE TN and nothing to a trace everywhere else.

    Ensembles have some support. I counted 7-8 that had something. Member #13 just goes absolutely bonkers.

    I had some thunder and lightning about 15 mins ago near Karns in Knoxville.

    Thanks. I thought it might be a higher resolution than the other members, but obviously not as high as the main. I guess that explains why it went bonkers on the latest run.

    What is the difference between the Euro Control and one of the 50 members in the Euro ensemble?

    I agree! Unless we get the epic fantasy storm the 00z GFS had at the end of its run. It does appear that it will be colder than normal for the back half of March though, if the models are correct. They haven't been correct all winter about the cold and kept pushing it back, so I'm not sure why this would be any different.

    Latest GFS brings the fire hose right up the eastern valley again for the weekend system. The below image is a 24 hour total.

    Rock slide on I40 at MM 7.5 on the NC side. 40 is closed in both directions. I havent seen any other details on how long the cleanup will take.

    I think if you change the toggle on TT from "MSLP & Precip (Rain/Frozen)" to "Radar (Rain/Frozen)" you can see the radar on the FV3 out to 210.

    On the main run of the RGEM the high over Iowa is at 1038 at the end of the run. There is a 1042 high, but that is sitting over Idaho.

    It was mentioned in the Tennessee Valley thread the other day, but the TT formula is off for the FV3. If you compare the snow total map to other sites it is significantly increased on TT for some reason.
