  1. Hey now! What’s all this weather talk in the banter thread! lol! Ill be interested to see the rest of the evening meso runs come in. HRRR has been dead set all afternoon on a 6”+ hit in central Erie county. The last AFD makes mention that the mesos are probably over doing the precip output, but do agree it will be just cold enough for all snow in the morning... let’s see!
  2. HRRR still aggressive on snow amounts on the south side of the metro... Should be interesting to see if we can get something decent cranking for a couple hours in the morning.
  3. Not sure free? But here’s a link to all the testing sites in Erie County and shows which ones do rapid tests. Hospitals Urgent Cares have them but it’s like $250 there even with insurance... https://erieny.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=0c46f6677fbd49f5b8cf7548e8efe58b
  4. Well some positive news... We are having a record low number of influenza cases this year... Yet Erie County is still far and away the highest concentration...
  5. Neat image! The GOES lightning mapper picked up two “lightning signatures” when that meteor broke the atmosphere today.
  6. CN tower was 12:03... Here’s a home camera that didn’t get the flash but heard the boom at 12:11
  7. Wow... check out what the earth cam on top of the CN tower in Toronto captured!!!
  8. Can you rewind your nest cam? Clear enough out, maybe it caught it or heard it?
  9. Nice looking lake effect rain band Friday afternoon...
  10. It’s up. Nice view. How much that double cam setup cost? Equipment? App Fee? I’m interested in something like that.
  11. Looks like we’re flipping back now that some better stuff is moving in. We did flip to a misty ice pellet for 20-30 minutes.
  12. Oh... you man the parking gate at the airport? Wanna make $20 every 6 hours and drop this yard stick in a snow bank?
  13. Was wondering what the pinging on my window was... how the hell did we snow all day... and now we’re mixing?
  14. At this point I really don’t know if a full lockdown / shutdown would even make a dent in the spread rates. Majority of spread right now is individuals being irresponsible at home. I felt like back in March during the first shutdown no one really saw anyone outside of their home circle (or work circle for essential workers) and I think that made a world of difference dropping the infection rates. It was a good 6 weeks where everyone just stayed apart and didn’t mingle with other home circles. Fast forward to now and it seems like no one cares anymore. So many people having get togethers in their homes, Halloween parties, football parties, thanksgiving dinner. Might not seem like a big deal but having just 10 people from 3 different households get together is the difference between 2 infected people and 10 infected people. The numbers just grow exponentially from there. If the general population can’t act socially responsible at home we are still weeks away from flattening our curve. There is so much emphasis being put on retail establishments for sanitation protocols, but the spread isn’t happening there. It’s happening at the Sunday dinner table when the kids and grandkids are coming over to visit.
  15. I highly doubt that will sway anyone who supports him. Will be interesting to see how the county responds to him saying he will be open for business as usual tomorrow.

  17. They actually just posted a retraction lol. Never knew a conservative bought them out a few years ago. Haven’t read an artvoice in probably 10 years...
  18. Please explain why the positivity rate would be lower simply because it’s the weekend? You do realize these tests were administered an average of 2-4 days ago and the results are just now being reported by the health department right? Results for the past 7 days...
