  1. This will go down as a near miss for me I’m afraid. Oh well. Is it spring yet?
  2. I’ll never say another bad thing about the Canadians if that 12z actually happens.
  3. I haven’t paid any attention to this one so I am shocked it’s snowing here. I just got home after a long weekend so I haven’t measured but I’d guess an inch? Flakes are HUGE at times. Here’s the best I could do from the car.
  4. Lake is cranking now. Light to occasional moderate snow. Hoping we can get a band to hang out for a few hours overhead as temps continue to drop.
  5. 2.2 from the system. We’ll if any lake bands swing through tonight.
  6. Half inch so far. It's not really accumulating on the roads or sidewalks. Coming down at a decent clip but ratios stink. As long as we cover the grass for a few days I'll be happy.
  7. Just looked at the radar. Looks nice for you at the moment. Snow starting to come down now here. Small flakes but it's already sticking to the cars. 32 degrees.
  8. I'm hoping the fact the sun will be setting soon will help accumulations here.
  9. Is it too late to make a call? Don't care. Doing it anyway. It hasn't started snowing yet. 4.1"
  10. Technical question...Why did LOT issue the advisory for ILX? I won't post the entire wording but I was curious about this. Is it a glitch or is ILX at a retreat this week URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Lincoln IL Issued by National Weather Service Chicago IL 240 PM CST Tue Feb 11 2020
  11. IWX issues advisory for 3 to 5 inches across their entire CWA.
  12. Thoughts and prayers appreciated. 2 to 4 seems like a solid bet here. Then we'll see how far east the lake effect band sets up.
  13. Watch the bands set up between us...wouldn’t be sure whether to laugh or cry.
  14. The TV station I work for going with an early call of 4 to 6 inches in the greater South Bend area. Could be our biggest snow since the Veterans Day system/lake effect event.
  15. Lake effect/enhancement gets me to about 6 inches deeper into this run. I never bank in lake effect but it gives me hope for an overall decent storm.
  16. Evaporative cooling knocked me down to 30 degrees. Surprised I’m staying at that mark so long. Best returns about to come through from the southwest.
  17. Flakes starting here. Temp on the thermometer at 33. -SN
  18. 2019-2020: The winter of the Winter Weather Advisory.
  19. Does this translate into a thundersnow threat into Northern Indiana?
