  1. yes, what an impressive storm. Edit: I can't see below Cat 4 at land fall, not enough space.
  2. Not looking likely, guys. We have the Chukisksi ice at it's highest melt ever. La Nina weak, and strengthing, worry about February.
  3. It's on, baby. I've got 10 trillon sroom.
  4. Boo to you for throwing a football.
  5. Tao/Triton still looks Weak. That would be my call for the event, Weak.
  6. PDO looks to be around -1.0 for the Winter.
  7. Yeah.. we aren't in anything Strong. There is a threshold in ~ONI -0.8 that is a whole different Pacific pattern, more dominant. This right now is kind of "lean toward -PNA".
  8. Phoenix broke it's all time Summer record by 2 degrees this year, not 0.2 or 0.4 degrees like other standings, and Alaska broke it's by 2 degrees last Summer. Now it's going to snow in Denver on 9-8 (Winter storm watch). Strong Pacific southern jet influence this year.
  9. That's quite an extreme Strong-Nina composite, I'm not saying the N. Pacific ridge won't build as strong, but that's right in the prime NPH spot.
  10. It's like.. the pattern defaults, and the NAO is a sub-index at this point. It would be nice to see that change. I say that too about the 10mb PV, it just seems par for the course for the pattern of late and the Nina is weak around -0.7.
  11. Nina/+QBO is strong 10mb PV, it will probably downwell given the weak atmospheric conditions.
  12. Looks like another +NAO Winter.. just horrible. Arctic ice melt pattern.
  13. I'd say the expectations now are that we have some warmer subsurface waters starting in March 2021. We may go Weak or Moderate El Nino, but I don't think anything strong will develop. It could also die out as that is the environment right now, but March-May 2021 is a warm subsurface ENSO signal.
  14. Good stuff. definite weak La Nina. I don't think anything major will fluctuate.
  15. More of this stuff guys (ridge in the West)
  16. Yeah, I'll take La Nina. It seems that otherwise it bubbles warm by default.
  17. Some legitimate La Nina here, Long range models were showing a +PNA until today it switched to -PNA I have that theory about subsurface trend = PNA state.
