  1. Lots of damage in Solanco - read several reports of multiple homes with roofs ripped off. Also a family of 4 trapped in their basement which was destroyed. Might be an investigation for possible Tornado tomorrow.
  2. .31" this morning followed by an additional .34" this evening. .65" for the day.
  3. Needless to say, this part of Lanco was a half pound burger topped with nothing.
  4. Think I might have experienced a wind gust upwards of 10 mph. #feelingverythankful
  5. Almost a constant rumble to my west now. Light rain continues.
  6. There was talk this morning of a last round arriving near midnight. One of the Mets in the MA thread even thought that conditions could be ripe for severe with that.
  7. Light rain and 79 in Maytown. .03" over the past 10 minutes.
  8. MU Weather Center @MUweather Severe storms are now exploding across south-central PA, WV and northern/western MD. Some of the discrete cells near Hagerstown are showing signs of rotation. Take shelter in an interior room or basement if you live in the path of these storms! The tornado threat is ramping up..
  9. I know there are 2 sides to this and both have been well documented and discussed previously. It's a weather extreme, fascinating, and other things. I just can't bring myself to wish for severe knowing that severe weather basically implies that someone will receive some sort of damage. I won't wish that on anyone.
  10. Just got out of Monday meetings and was reading a well respected red tagger in the MA thread who posted that conditions in this general area are not favorable for Tornadoes...at least yet. I really hope that holds. Here's to hoping we all get a nice rain with a 15 mph breeze...not likely but I can hope. I don't wish damage on anyone.
  11. Very small percentage of PA is in the MOD area currently:
  12. Yes he did, and he actually said eastern PA is primo. Don't like this at all.
  13. I'd love to, but I'm unable for some reason on my computer. I can tell you he's predicting dozens if not hundreds of damage reports across the southern PA into northern VA area, with winds producing roof and tree damage a "lock." Biggest Tornado threat is the southern tier counties of PA down into eastern WV and northern VA. There will be discreet cells as well as a damaging squall line to contend with. Potentially, some areas might experience up to 3 separate rounds before it's all over.
  14. I've received .31" of rain so far Please, please stay safe today everyone. MU was tweeting overnight and I don't believe I've ever read a more ominous message for our area.
  15. Just had a brief (less than 5 minute) downpour.
  16. Sneaky run towards 90 today - 86 here at 12:15.
  17. And...skiing at Mammoth Mountain for the historic 2023 season concludes tomorrow. Opening day for the new season will be in just 95 days.
