  1. Might need some sort of flood statement east of Harrisburg, that area has already been hit hard and another cell is moving in. #itstrainingtime
  2. That thing is a lot deeper than the image you posted from last evening's GFS.
  3. @sauss06- welcome home! Hope you had a great week.
  4. Dry here at work, but it's raining at home. So far .05" in the bucket.
  5. Mammoth Mountain will be closing for the season (skiing) on August 6th. A very warm summer took down the snowpack a little quicker than anticipated. Skiing into August is still pretty remarkable.
  6. So here we have the forum's snowminsta and the warminsta...snowminsta started a thread last year only to see it go down in flames. Okay, more like a bomb went off. If the warminsta starts it this year, things have to be better...right?
  7. Living in Lancaster PA as a diehard O's fan in a sea of red is going to be stressful the next 3 days. Hopefully the Birds can at least grab 2 of 3.
  8. I remember that well, great point to bring up right now. Nothing is a sure thing until it's happening.
  9. Very hot weather is more tolerable when you see relief in sight.
  10. That would be one way to break up a hot stretch.
  11. That's the average. Last year it was more like every 3.5 days. I am way behind last year's pace. I mowed 51 times last year.
  12. Sunny and 86. Little storm cell in York County will miss me to my north. Yesterday was mow #22 for me.
  13. Today has been a beautiful summer day. Just a tinge warm, otherwise perfect. Going to be a perfect evening outdoors.
  14. Thank you very much! It has been a very long, painful process but I am proud as hell that the organization did it the right way. Very excited for the future.
  15. MU's Elliott on the remainder of summer: By the end of next week, the large, semi-permanent Jet Stream ridge that has been responsible for the recent stretch of brutal, record-breaking heat cross the southwestern United States may shift into the central U.S. and expand its grasp over most of the nation. If this comes to fruition, then a bonafide heat wave could occur during the last few days of July, and more extreme heat could be lurking in August. Odds favored the second half of this summer being much hotter than the first, and it certainly appears that that will indeed be the case.
  16. Do you ever spend a weekend in Harrisburg, PA?
  17. At least she got good sleep. I can't believe I stayed up for that.
  18. My wife never heard a thing, and I wouldn't have either if I hadn't decided to stay up until 2:45am tracking a rain shower. I got .66" here.
  19. Wow - I had a shower with some distant lightning and thunder. Top wind gust here was 4.7 mph. Nice rains, don't get me wrong, but on a scale of 1 to 10 as far as storms go...last night would get a 1. A generous 1. (I was out of bed actively watching and tracking, so it's not like my obs were sleepy based. We literally had zero storm factor)
