  1. Also - my grass has really started to turn brown again.
  2. It can't come soon enough. I'm tired of not being able to see when I walk out the door.
  3. We have a prominent poster who is worse off than I am.
  4. Nothing here today so far. Looks like Harrisburg is getting mauled.
  5. 4 games out with 3 to play leading in to the all star break. Orioles have called up 2 of Baseball America's top 25 prospects over the past 2 weeks. The #1 prospect in all of Baseball (Jackson Holliday, son of Matt Holliday) is terrorizing the minors and might not be far behind. The O's are loaded.
  6. That line formed just to my east to get me, but the next area west of the river might consolidate and do the job...
  7. Orioles missed the PAT - always comes back to haunt...
  8. 2 ski resorts are still open in the USA - Timberline in Oregon and Mammoth. Mammoth's base is now down to 24 - 90" and will likely close on the final weekend in July, a week short of their latest closing. It's been very warm recently with temps on the mountain reaching the 80s. They needed a cool to average early summer to get the record but instead had record high temps. Hard to imagine 7' of snow after a few weeks of temps in the 80s.
  9. After a few days of shower and storms, it looks like Sunday could end up being a rainy day. All depends on where the low pressure tracks late in the weekend.
  10. I'm at 18. If you score a touchdown, are you playing it safe and kicking or are you gutsy like Siriano and go for 2 and the win?
  11. Watch September be the hottest month this year. LOL
  12. 95 in Maytown...did not think it was to be this hot.
  13. It shot me out of a deep sleep like I've never been awakened before. Our house shook too...my wife said "the trash company dropped a trash can" to which I looked at her and said "yeah, our house always shakes like that when a trash can hits the street."
  14. Seward, I absolutely love! Only place I've ever been, standing on the shore of the Pacific, breathing in the salt air, and looking at the snow-capped mountains on the edge of town. Gorgeous.
  15. We only stopped there because it was the fictional site of the show Northern Exposure. Very quirky place.
  16. Air into Anchorage. Rented a van and saw the southern half to two thirds of the state. Let me tell you, that is a lot of driving. Visited Seward, Anchorage, Wasilla, Palmer, Talkeetna, Healy, Fairbanks and Denali National Park. Amazing trip.
  17. It's been 10 years since I was there - I took my family of 6 to a Salmon Bake the night we arrived and dropped a cool $400 for dinner. No alcohol and 3 of those meals were from the kids menu. After that, we adjusted our dining plan for the remaining 9 days. Ate lunch at a Subway the following day and that set me back $100 - that was the heyday of Subways $5 footlong promo...Alaskans didn't get the memo. Footlongs were $11.50 and up.
  18. My son just waited 1 hour and 25 minutes to get gas at Sheetz - I said son, you just went through a tank to replace it with another one. LOL (Gas is $1.77.6 today)
