  1. My seasonal total through 3 events is 11.8" (.3", .7", and 10.8")
  2. At least they won't have 107,000 people coming to town on Saturday for the PSU/Illinois game.
  3. I think it was in the Buffalo "South Towns" several years back they got 7' from a single lake event. They were dumping snow in the lake...
  4. Problem was, it wasn't a pure snowstorm. I thought shoveling 30" back in 2016 was relatively easy. This is a different animal with the high water content deeper in the pack. It's not the snow you mind clearing, it's what came with it.
  5. Eh, maybe not...though mine did kick on Tuesday evening for a while.
  6. Just saw a report that Marietta finished with 11.5", which is 1.5 miles from me. That was the highest that I've seen in our area.
  7. I think that's why I relate well to you. I work in a company of 900 people, and at a banquet last year, received an award for being the most organized person at work.
  8. Great information Stephen, thank you for sharing the QPF amount in particular. Had the 2" of QPF that was being advertised a few days ago come to fruition, snow and ice amounts would have been close to what was expected.
  9. We talk about that in here a good bit. Things got way out of whack in respect to historical climatology along the I-95 corridor over the past 10-15 years, and it really spoiled a lot of people, especially younger ones who I believed that they assumed what was happening was "normal". Entitlement. Sort of understandable, but they really needed a bit of a reality check. On the flip side, they had a dreadful year last year, so add that in and they're starving. Even here in Lancaster, our climate history suggests double digit snows come about once or twice a decade. I've had double digit snows 8 times in the past 11 years. I appreciated this storm because I know that it's not normal nor should it be expected.
  10. Thanks! I was chatting back and forth with you a couple of years ago. My wife was in Boone during the big December storm you good folks had, and you and a few others were extremely helpful providing tips on timing, routes, etc. If I remember correctly, you ended up somewhere around 18-19" from that storm, correct? I think that was 2018. (2017?)
  11. Agree. I'm shocked that I ended up with more than you. It simply came down to banding.
  12. Officially the 3rd largest storm on record in Lancaster at 10".
  13. Final total was 10.8". 9.7" of that was snow. Congrats to all of us! Great storm...
  14. Back to snow here with just a few pingers. Snow/sleet total is 7.4"...hoping to end up in the 10-12" range.
  15. You're 6 miles up the road from me. I had 6.3" at the time of changeover. I'm hoping for 2-4" more later tonight.
