  1. 86 here at 11:20. Low to mid 90s, here we come...(given sunshine continues)
  2. Drove through a brief shower outside Lancaster earlier but nothing at home. It does have that look though...
  3. Even in late June. Up to 83 here...probably will be the high, but we'll see.
  4. What's the landscape look like out your way? She's not looking healthy in my 'hood...
  5. If I'm fortunate enough to see that. As much as I don't personally like it, hot steamy weather is GREAT for our business.
  6. If I remember correctly, it started last winter in the MD/DC/VA thread where someone from the Short Pump, VA area was making posts about not getting snow. Soon, the running joke became about "how much for Short Pump?" Careful - when you make a post on here, it can and will be held against you
  7. Thinking about my location - it was a 40 degree departure for me that day. I also bottomed out at -22, but my normal low was 22 from what I remember.
  8. Wow. It'd be interesting to know how many times you've had a 37 degree departure from normal (higher or lower) at any point in the year.
  9. Warmest February day that I've experienced in my lifetime. Day before I topped out at 77.
  10. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think we have the most active thread on the entire board these days. Sunny and 72 and 10:30 - should make it into the 80s with ease today.
  11. My record to add to this great disco - 79 degrees on 2/21/2018. Day ended under a Tornado Warning for the historic district.
  12. Exactly! I'm ready to call it quits for a while and head down to the river.
  13. Ha! I'm not going to get hung up on the pending heat wave when it's like this outside now. What will come, will come. These past 2 days have been pretty special for late June.
  14. Sunny and 77 approaching noon. Another spectacular summer day! Every day like this is one potential hot, miserable day that won't happen.
  15. Apparently Tomlin loves him already which is the kiss of death.
  16. Locker seems truly like a great guy. I cannot stand his voice. In fairness, Steve Coates was even worse calling Flyers games of yore. I've heard that Jim Jackson can be a real...well, not an approachable person to meet. I miss Bill Clement.
  17. I have friends who were originally from my area, moved to Santa Ana, CA in 1986 and then moved to Flagstaff in 2016. They absolutely LOVE living there, for all the reasons that you mentioned.
  18. I have horrid memories of that series. My depression train rolls on this afternoon. Pretty soon, I'll be tied and locked up and forced to listen to Craig Laughlin for 3 hours.
  19. Usually we start with the Isles playoff game from the 1980s that went into quadruple overtime. I had no reason to feel good that they would win game 7 after already losing 2 at home previously. Plus, Atlanta was confident and the Sixers were anything but.
  20. I work with a Caps partial season ticket holder. We love to exchange stories...
  21. The worst part about it is - the whole way down on Sunday, I KNEW they were going to lose. It's like when models are showing snow for us in the winter, but when you take into account storm track, local climate, and everything else, you get that sinking feeling that something's going to go wrong. At least I was "prepared" for them to lose. Oh, the joys of being a Sixers fan.
  22. I'm at a crossroads fellas. Been to nearly 800 Sixers games and once again I have full season membership for next season. Depending on what transpires, it might be my last. I've been a fan and going to games since the 1975-76 season and have been through a lot. Age and time commitments are starting to take some of the fun out of it. We'll see what happens soon enough.
  23. Holy cow. I decided to try and do that work thing for a couple of hours to come back to 3 new pages! You guys are killing it. Sunny and 76 here. Nice breeze. Feels great. And then...someone brought up the 76ers and my day turned cloudy...
