  1. 60 isn't happening, and the breeze is quite brisk. Currently sitting at 52.9, might not even reach 55 at this point.
  2. Beautiful day out there! 46 and sunny, making a run towards 60 later on. Short sleeve shirt weather for the game tonight.
  3. Explain to me; please, why "off hour" runs are different than "on hour" runs?
  4. Glad that didn't happen down this way - no rain, no freezing temperatures.
  5. Not going to lie...I'm making a killing on my 76ers tickets. Resale value is up 288% since the deal for the Beard. Even though I was initially opposed to the deal, I'm certainly reaping the financial rewards now. LOL
  6. Baseball was THE sport in this country when I was growing up. It's unbelievable how far it has fallen in importance, and the players and owners are fully to blame. Makes me sick.
  7. Baseball season will be delayed to allow for cleanup from our monster early April blizzard inbound.
  8. I'm sure the Control run shows purples and pinks extending from Maine to just north of Key West.
  9. In literally hundreds of games that I've attended there (mostly between 1992-2007) I have only sat in the lower left field box seats one time. Didn't like it, never had any interest of sitting out there again. Different fans enjoy different things. Not a bad thing at all.
  10. Speaking of baseball, OPCY will look different this season - the O's have moved the left field fence back over 26' and raised the wall from 7' to 13'. Power alley went from an embarrassing 364' to 390'.
  11. I count at least 5 separate storms on today's 12z GFS - 4 are cutters, 1 is a southern wave that gets precip up the VA/NC border. I don't see any snow on the GFS.
  12. Our #February2022 temperature departure, in aggregate, turned out to be +4.45 degrees. The departure at KLNS (Lancaster) was +4.1 and at KMDT (Harrisburg) was +2.5. Overall, meteorological winter (Dec.-Feb.) averaged 3.51 degrees above normal at @millersvilleu.
  13. Pretty big disparity between MDT and Lancaster. Elliott just tweeted that we ended up about 4.5 degrees AN.
  14. I'm I guess embarrassed to say this but I took my tree down on January 31st...
  15. Looks like February wrapped up between 4-5 degrees above normal. March looks to be more of the same. (both according to MU)
  16. I follow a couple of mets out there and it looks like it turns colder with what they refer to as "inside sliders" that will provide some snow showers with smallish accumulations. Not a shutout but nothing big looming on the horizon. It seems like it's almost a foregone conclusion that the season winds down this year by May, which is very early. Even in bad years they usually ski on Memorial Day weekend but this year that might not happen.

  18. Hopefully it won't be like the Easter Sunday playoff game against the Bucks back in 1981. Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semis attracted 6,704 fans. It was so bad that all of the lights were turned off in the upper 2 levels of the building. All fans that day were seated in the lower level, most along the baseline. That was a game #7 with Erving, Toney, Jones, etc.
  19. Nope, sorry. Easter isn't until the 17th. Snow chances are the first 7-10 days. Besides, I'll be at the Center watching playoff basketball on Easter.
