  1. Have to think we might see some Flash Flood Warnings soon in Franklin County - cells are moving east but seem to be redeveloping over the same area. #itstrainingtime
  2. 75 and mainly cloudy at 1:50pm...forecast high of 86 is in jeopardy. (though, only an hour or 2 of sun will jack temps up quickly)
  3. And, to my point about flies, they don't bother you if you're in the water. Go back up on the sand and sit and they're all over you.
  4. I don't care what the temp is when I'm on the beach. What I do care about is wind direction - any easterly component is good. A due west wind is horrid...that brings with it the biting flies, which to me makes the beach miserable.
  5. If that map verified there will be people in here dancing while others are... Not dancing.
  6. Looks like high temps today are going to be pretty wild across the area...perhaps holding in the 70s in eastern parts of Lanco, while a few areas west of Rt. 81 reach the low 90s.
  7. This might in part help explain why SPC is much more bullish the farther NW one goes today in the Commonwealth.
  8. LOL! As MJS alluded to, a very gray, dark morning over this way. Things are starting to brighten up now.
  9. Literally in the past 15 minutes I've jumped 4 degrees from 69 to 73.
  10. A few minutes ago there was loud thunder here at work but no rain. Still nothing at home, that first little line whiffed me to the east. Watching those cells you're talking about and they look like they might do the same... Edit: I need to move to Manheim. Mom said they got hit hard earlier with that cell.
  11. Nice little cluster missing us just to our east currently. I had nothing overnight.
  12. SPC day 1 outlook looks similar to what you posted yesterday afternoon, which is actually a downgrade from what I saw last evening. They had the Enhanced area all the way down close to Harrisburg. It was pulled back NW this morning.
  13. Yep, just saw that. Maybe he'll stock shelves at the Home Depot? LOL
  14. We'll be flirting with the edge of "The Ring Of Fire".
  15. That's a nice (if you are into severe) bump from earlier today. That entire area of Enhanced wasn't there this morning.
  16. Yep, that's why I said what I did. Would not be surprised to see a 91-93 type reading.
  17. 86 here at 2:10pm. Friday might be another opportunity to reach 90.
  18. Nary a cloud in the sky here, but the breeze is doing it's trick...only 84 here now, and it's becoming pretty clear we'll fall short of 90 at this point. Bugs have been bad locally since the last week of May.
  19. MU says we get hit twice tomorrow - round #1 between 4am - 9am, round #2 between 7pm and 11pm. Early round is non-severe, 2nd round is potentially severe but the worst will be in NW PA
  20. I wonder if that was a product of dews - my dewpoint really jumped around 4am. By that point I was already at 64, and my temp leveled and started inching up at that point. It's quite humid out there now but there's also a nice breeze that kicked in. As @Mount Joy Snowman alluded to, the wind direction might tell the tale on our quest for 90 over this way.
  21. I was at 65 at 6:30am and am at 81 now. 16 degree rise here. Agree with all of this, the only thing I'd add is if I take my AC setting and lower it even further if that will offset the outside heat.
  22. 80 at home as well. (currently 80.3) If I'm at 85-86 at noon and maintain sun until 3pm, I like my chances for reaching 90 for the 7th time this year.
  23. I completed mow #22 Monday evening. My point and click from CTP is 88 for today. Currently 71 with full sun. I don't see how I don't reach 90 unless we cloud over this afternoon. I'm riding the Superstorm Heat Express over the models. LOL
