  1. 50 and partly sunny. Next post is 10,000. I'll save it for something good. LOL
  2. Tomorrow's storm looks pretty exciting for parts of PA, perhaps even for some in our thread. I sincerely hope that all of you looking for snow will get some.
  3. MU was all over this a couple of hours ago: A few heavier snow showers are moving south-southeast through central PA. Most of the activity will fall apart as it gets out of the higher terrain, but there may be a light coating in spots (on non-paved surfaces) in eastern Perry & northern Dauphin Co.’s w/flakes farther south.
  4. Surprised it's not windy in the 'Ville. It's quite gusty here, which seems unusual that I've got wind and you don't. 65 in my house and honest to god the air is running as I type...
  5. Current temp inside? (I'm afraid of the answer LOL)
  6. Happy Easter to all! Currently, it's partly sunny, quite breezy and 45 here.
  7. They won't even if mandated. Masks were required for the majority of the season and over 90% took them off as soon as they reached the seating bowl and that was that.
  8. Nice win tonight. Great ball movement and very few turnovers. On to Monday.
  9. High today was 74. Now down to 54, .08" of rain so far.
  10. After several hours of cloudy skies, things have cleared off and temps have responded...now up to 73.3 and rising.
  11. I hate to try and speak for someone else (quite dangerous to do so!) but I "think" he's referring to a general, accumulating snowfall, and not just "flakes in the air." I mean, the May snow days were just 2 years ago, so I don't think he's ignoring that. He's simply saying that the chances of snow falling and accumulating in late April are exceptionally rare. In fact, the only "snowfall" I remember falling during April was on 4/6/1982. That event was probably as anomalous as one can imagine...a noon temp of 26 with heavy snow and wind and snow accumulating, blowing, and drifting on every surface imaginable. The only other April snows that I can recall down this way occurred at night and/or did not stick on paved surfaces. Flakes flying in the air in late April? Sure. A general snowfall that accumulates during the day? Can't recall that happening.
  12. Elliott on Monday: My attention then turns to a storm system moving northeastward from the Carolinas to the southern New England coastline from Monday afternoon into Tuesday. Although the air mass ahead of and to the northwest of the system will be unseasonably cold, it's almost impossible for snow to fall in southeastern PA during the daylight hours in mid-April. The fact that temperatures will rebound into the upper 40s to low 50s before precipitation arrives in the afternoon makes it virtually impossible for snow to occur. In the highest terrain of central and northern PA (above 1700 feet), precipitation will arrive several hours earlier with temperatures only in the 30s. So, I actually do expect a light (1-3") accumulation of snow in these areas.. but only on non-paved surfaces, of course. However, precipitation should remain solely in the form of rain across the Lower Susquehanna Valley
  13. 68 here. It's breezy but I can't (or won't) complain too much. It's about as close to perfect as it can for me.
  14. Sunny, sensational, and 64 just past noon. Working (distractedly) from home the rest of the day. My grass needs mowed...(7th time coming up later today)
  15. MDT must have been under the influence of the chilly waters of the Susky yesterday. Most areas just SE of the airport were comfortably into the lower 80s...
  16. Even I support this. I want my Thanksgiving to be chilly and Christmas to be downright cold. Well, neither of those happen very often anymore. But I've always liked a warm Easter. Good day to get outside and stuff.
  17. Sunday is going to be a chilly day no doubt. "Chilly" as in 53 in the Historic District, 41 in Rouzerville. LOL
  18. I need to get back to the Island this season. I used to regularly go to 15-20 games a season, the past 3 or 4 years I've only been to a couple of games total. Always a great day watching baseball in Harrisburg. Far better experience than a MLB game.
  19. Mid 40s on Easter Sunday afternoon? Yeah...no thanks. Positive...at least it's one more day that it isn't unbearably hot and humid.
