  1. I can't believe it took you this long to bring that up.
  2. BWI: 19" DCA: 11" IAD: 21" RIC: 7" Tiebreaker (SBY): 14"
  3. I started yesterday after work and getting out shortly to finish. Don't forget the gutters.
  4. I love the look of deep leaves in my yard, but after today’s wind brings down most of what’s left, tomorrow will be the big clean up day.
  5. I think it’s the northwest. Washington state, if I recall correctly.
  6. I’m using the heat pumps as long as possible this year. I’ll fire up the oil furnace only when it’s below 40 consistently.
  7. Awhile back I had said that aerating holes were good for seed germination, got some doubt comment from someone I can’t recall, and said I would post photos later. Since then I cut the grass short, aerated, seeded, and let nature take its course. I should have gotten photos sooner, but yesterday was the first I’ve mowed since seeding and though the aerating holes are indiscernible, you can see how the new grass is growing in clumps. That’s where the holes were. Seeds got in the holes and presto. Also harvested our sugar pumpkins yesterday from the back 100 (square feet).
  8. Only .30" here, but that's plenty considering I didn't think I'd see anything.
  9. I didn’t model watch this week other than the gfs. Did any of the others call for this?
  10. Looks like 33 for IAD, 34 for BWI, and 38 for both DCA and RIC.
  11. Plenty of downpours here the last hour, and more to come.
  12. At least the burgundy helmets finally match the burgundy on the uniform.
  13. Last mow here is Thanksgiving week. Gets the last of the leaves up and gets the height uniform for any Christmas season snow.
  14. And I got a text yesterday from my gf to come down to the basement because she was trapped. By a spider on the steps. I can’t even begin to imagine the drama if there was a snake in the house.
  15. 100% sure that we just saw a bald eagle circling over 29 just south of route 40. Very cool.
  16. Happy birthday! How are leaves looking out that way? Thinking of heading west tomorrow.
  17. My neighborhood is notorious for flooding and even with nearly 4”, no problems.
  18. Mulch is done, but with the sun fully down, the grass and roads under the trees are doing their best. Won’t be long.
  19. Pouring fatties now so hard that you can hear them hit the ground.
  20. Is this radar accurate? I’ve never seen anything like it. Rain developing on a line over land. It looks like a lake effect radar without the water. And in the wrong direction.
