  1. I’ll be taking advantage of the cloud cover and joining you. My backyard is getting powdery.
  2. Direct link to that useless map ... http://www.wxcaster.com/cfsv2_charts1.htm Here's the more useful site but change the locations to KBWI or... http://www.wxcaster.com/models_text.htm
  3. I’d like to get an early start on aerating and seeding this year, but I can’t get good plugs from aerating until the ground is good and wet. it’s not a big deal if I have to wait, but I have a few biggish projects this fall, so earlier is better. Regardless, its a beautiful evening with cool temps, low dews, and plenty of whiskey. Cheers!
  4. I know a lot of the forum has had a lot, and even too much rain, but I think I can speak for the northern areas that we need it.
  5. Beautiful morning got me looking ahead. Plenty of time to get a few adjustments in our favor.
  6. The sky is on fire on Seneca Lake.
  7. And I’m not there to enjoy it! Having a sunset beer at our favorite spot on Seneca Lake. Two Goats Brewery.
  8. Looks like you might be okay. I’m still not liking the chances up my way. Could be close.
  9. I’d be happy with a storm that dropped enough to be able to do some xc skiing at local golf courses. And if it stuck around for a few days to ski the same tracks, all the better. It’s been awhile.
  10. I posted the snowmobile forecast a couple of pages back that looked promising. I believe in it.
  11. The front moved through Watkins Glen this morning with some rain showers, so we stayed in the tent reading and napping. By 10AM, rain stopped, breeze kicked up, and dews dropped. It’s been a glorious day here around Seneca Lake, NY, with a high of 73.
  12. I spent a few summers on a landscaping team, mostly weed whacking. But every once in awhile I’d get lucky and they needed the lesser of the stupid to cut grass so I got behind a gravely on a slide. Great machines.
  13. Sitting on a tractor is not the same as us peasants cutting the grass. Just messing with you.
  14. I think @StormchaserChuck! assumes we know what he means. The folks from the original board probably do. Back then Chuck was doing some “research” and I remember him being very-well respected. Not that he isn’t now in some circles, but for a clown like me, I would welcome some dumbing-down rhetoric in his posts. Particularly when he posts a lot of maps without explanation.
  15. After all my complaining yesterday, I’ll end up flooding today.
  16. Got it. But no power here so we might just be taking to each other in the Upside Down.
  17. Since I’ve already whined my way into a biotch this evening, I’m going to follow up with this one to my neighbors. ”I’m so glad that your house is nice and cool, but I can’t even open my windows because your generator is so f’n loud and annoying.”
  18. I’m just bitter that it hasn’t rained here in three weeks and this radar depiction amounted to crud. I’ll probably flood tomorrow.
  19. Just to follow up but there is a fire at a business in Reisterstown Rd at Milford Mill. I can’t confirm but someone said it was lightning.
  20. I guarantee you got more. Just shafted here.
  21. Also, fire trucks on resisterstown rd and the smell of a building fire. Wondering if something got struck by lightning. I can assure everyone that any rain will not put it out.
