  1. A colleague’s farm off of Ten Oaks Rd took a hit yesterday. No injuries to peeps or animals. Sorry for the picture of a picture.
  2. My power came back on about an hour ago. The sump pump well is drained, the ice cream looks okay and is refrozen, the house is cooled down, and the fermenting beer was held at a great temperature, so bring it on. But hopefully I don't lost power again!
  3. Thanks. It was pretty funny that I thought the storm was going north into your area, and then instead, it expanded south. And even funnier that I downplayed it until all heck broke loose. It kept intensifying as it went east of me and I hear the White Marsh and Perry Hall got hit pretty bad, and maybe even a tornado in Perry Hall? For me, my biggest concern is that I had just finished brewing and was putting the beer in the fermenter when the storm hit. I use an old chest freezer to control my fermentation temperature, and without power, it's a little tough! Beer concerns > property concerns.
  4. Still no power in our hood from last night's storm. I've been living here for 15 years and this is the longest we've ever gone without power. Interestingly, BGE "updated" our grid last fall. Probably a coincidence, but it makes me wonder.
  5. As soon as I said that storm here was typical, it went nuts. Hail, gusty winds and sheets of rain. No power since
  6. We got into the warning here with lots of thunder and lightning, heavy rain, and gusty winds. Fairly typical, at least here.
  7. Getting a few rumbles of thunder and outflow breezes, but probably going to get missed by this next one. Mappy should get her second storm of the day..
  8. It cooled down temperatures too. May only be a brief respite but better than nothing. Hopefully it holds together to give your yard a nice drenching.
  9. The small line forming over me is putting down a decent downpour. Just some low rumbling thunder, but should only get better for areas northeast of me.
  10. Yep. You're right. I'm disoriented looking at that shot and can't discern where it was taken from.
  11. By the way, I think the high rise in that photo is Kenny's Columbia apartment building. He wasn't kidding yesterday when he said that the funnel went right over his house. Unfortunately, he wasn't there yesterday.
  12. Those may be real shots that were spruced up through Lightroom. Also, big, wide angle lenses distort photos, especially on the edges, so it would make sense that the photos above look somewhat "rounded." I have no opinion on whether they are real or not. I'm still mad that the "enhanced" area got gypped.
  13. A few rumbles of thunder, gusty winds, and heavy downpour here, but oddly enough, the LWX radar didn't show anything above my location.
  14. Hey. I’m not home. What’s it doing there?
  15. With that map, I’d be able to light up the kerosene heater, open the garage door, shoot some pool, and throw some darts while giving the keezer a workout.
  16. I was joking. And like I said, I know what you meant.
  17. Half of nothing is nothing. I know what you mean though.
  18. I don't feel bad about laughing, but I feel a little bad for not stopping and then letting everyone know it.
  19. Oh, Leesburg. Trust me. I don't think that you're sarcastic.
  20. I hated that I liked it, but it was so much fun trying to time a snowball to the roof of a car. eta: the thought is still appealing.
  21. Today is the kind of snow storm that I would come home as a kid tired, cold, and soaking wet from sledding all day. Even arm-tired from throwing snow balls at cars.
