  1. It's like an old school Kuchera. It takes into account melting and compaction for a usually more realistic snow total.
  2. It's rare that you see the Cobb algorithm for snow higher than the 10:1 output, but there it is for the NAM at TYS.
  3. As usual, surface temps are marginal for the eastern valley.
  4. Can someone post the 12z Euro clown for documentation purposes?
  5. Models showed this possibility earlier, took it away, and now seem to be bringing it back for some of us. Doesn't really matter, John's making his annual trek to Nooga to watch the game and that means there's a 70% chance of snow along and north of I-40 at least! Good luck to everyone!
  6. It took a little longer to update because it had to factor in John going to Nooga.
  7. I can't rationalize a subscription this year due to a tight budget, otherwise I absolutely would. I'm just here to react to others that hopefully post it! (prepared to be disappointed as there will be ups and downs for sure as we reel this in... hopefully).
  8. One thing is consistent, the Gatlinburg area has been under dark blue radarscope returns hour after hour for what seems like the whole evening. I'd be curious to get some obs from there.
  9. Now settling into a nice light to moderate regular snow! Flakes are certainly bigger. What a weird interesting event.
