  1. 92 93 must have shot down the ranks after that historic March. Makes sense that we have two 1980s Winters in there as this year has mirrored the '80s weather pattern.
  2. I think the big question for this month is whether or not we and up above or below average temps wise. Would be interesting to get all four months below average although this month is in serious Jeopardy.
  3. No doubt it was a bust out here, however still ended up with a heavy snow event. The biggest bust was Philly which was forecast to get 8 to 12 and got 0.
  4. I am so sick of cloudy damp cool April's.
  5. Thanks as always Don for your work this winter. It's great to see that we finally had a meteorological winter with all three months below average. First cold winter in years. I do worry about the spring though as there are rumblings of an sswe, I don't remember the last time we had a truly hot April, I believe the last time we reached 80 was in April 2008?
  6. I do believe the new England forum, specifically Orhwxman, Coastal WX and 40/70 benchmark, have a great understanding of the current environment and recent below average snowfall years. Great discussion in the March sub forum there from yesterday if you have time. I wish Don would post more often in that forum, after All Westchester county is right on the border of New England.
  7. Nah I am just missing around with Forky. He usually trolls the New England forum so just wanted to mess with him since he gets angy at someone thinking it's cold outside.
  8. Negative EPO!!!!! Probably some warm Waters pumping up the ridge LOL. In all seriousness that's some serious lack of moisture.
  9. Actually the 1800s didn't have the coldest temperature LOL. Forky it didn't get colder the further back you go lol.
  10. If it's cheap then hopefully they have a way to move it forward.
  11. I'm sorry about that misread. Which country is leading this and can there be contention from other countries?
  12. Don't forget the permanent forcing in phases four five and six which did not happen this year either.
  13. That one storm kept us from having a year without snowfall in Central Park.
  14. It was more directed at the point that it doesn't just go down in temperature through the past.
  15. 100% agree! If I buy a second Tesla I don't think it's going to get colder out.
  16. Yeah this winter is showing its cards.
  17. I have to disagree, kind of goes up and down through history....
  18. Sorry I have to disagree with you AND I stand corrected, the following is what frigid looks like, not what either of us posted.....
  19. Agreed it's going to feel great. Hopefully the cold spell is not as frigid as the previous three months, doesn't really look as such given the h5 look.
  20. Kind of what we've all been looking for. Very cold December January and February with great snow retention followed by a potentially warm March! Only ingredient missing was a larger snow event/and total snow accumulation.
  21. Yeah it's amazing how much we are mirroring that time period this year. I remember the joke for a number of years was oh no we are seeing the 1980s pattern of warm wet cold dry show up on the models. Experiencing it for the first time in decades it was not as bad as I thought it would be. I still have most of my yard covered in snow. Hopefully we're not in a 30-year snowfall drought again.
  22. Completely agree, this must have done wonders for bug control down there.
  23. Yeah they got hit well in '87. I mean I don't expect this to continue as I think we will revert back to a different storm track where we get hit more often and they don't. However unlike Florida it's not a total blank for snowfall unless you live in Destin LOL.
